Our stay was disappointing, although Michelle and Phillip were courteous and responsive. The strict rules and penalties felt excessive. Check-in wasn't until 6 PM, with checkout by 10 AM, compared to many hotels and rentals offering 3–4 PM check-in and 11 AM checkout. We also faced an unexpected pet charge despite selecting a pet during booking, possibly due to a VRBO system issue rather than the hosts.Shower water pressure was extremely weak. Someone came to address it, but it remained poor. We also found multiple mattress stains when an undersized mattress cover came loose. The hosts provided a properly fitting replacement cover the next day, which we appreciated. Our biggest frustration was guests from the neighboring rental, under the same management, parking in our designated driveway and drinking and partying outside during quiet hours. After confronting them ourselves, they moved their vehicle but blocked driveway access. Management apologized but suggested alternative parking rather than intervening. At a hotel, we'd expect management to handle disruptive guests, especially when managing both units. The contrast between the strict rules imposed on us and the neighboring activity felt like a double standard. The hosts confirmed there are no cameras. Disclosed exterior cameras covering parking could improve safety and oversight. We appreciate their responsiveness, but these repeated inconveniences made our stay less relaxing than expected.
House is supposed to be pet friendly but the renter is picky about it them being on the furniture and there being too much pet hair when we left. The renter also furnished us very little kitchen things to work with, in addition there were hardly any cleaning supplies for us to use to help with clean up. There were many areas of the house that functionally needed some help. We did have a the fuse blow while we were there, and they came and fixed it. House looks nice from the outside but could use some upgrades that would be advantagous to the renter.
This home was very spacious and clean, the back patio had a picnic table, which was very convenient for my friends and I. It wasn’t far from downtown and the neighborhood is quiet and clean. Highly recommend!
Wow, we drive down every few years to visit family that lives in Magnolia and found this place to be perfect for our needs. Our youngest child is autistic so it was nice to have so much space to play without worrying about noise complaints. Plenty of space to entertain our cousins and relatives. They have everything you would need to cook or you can try any of the amazing restaurants in a few block radius. We will definitely book again when we come to visit Houston again.
Overall the stay was ok. The house was very clean and nice. Location wasn't as close to downtown as listed.
The gas was shut off during our last night, so we couldn't dry clothes or take showers.
The dishwasher didn't work. There was coffee , but no coffee filters. There was also very few forks.
