Welcome to Blackfish Cottage - wildlife flourishes in abundance. Watch bald eagles and kingfishers; see the orcas and the whales; spot the black bears along the beach. Sit by the outdoor fire and relax. Nature is all around. Be it kayaking, fishing, boating or hiking, be you beginner or intermediate, there is something for everyone here. Each cottage is privately owned but is managed by Alder Bay Vacation Rentals and is located at Alder Bay RV Park & Marina. Sorry no furry friends.

Welcome to a spectacular unobstructed view of the Johnstone Strait. This delightful two-bedroom cottage features a queen-sized bed in one room, twin XL bunk beds in the other, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. It's ideally suited for up to 4 adults and 2 children. Well-suited for an active family or a quiet weekend getaway. Enjoy the cottage's many amenities and well-stocked kitchen as you relax on the private deck or warm yourself by the fire.

This unit also has a dedicated high-speed fibre internet connection for streaming or working remotely. (As of June 1, 2024)
Reservations cancelled with more than 30 days notice will have their full deposit refunded, less a $50.00 cancellation fee.
The unit can sleep up to 6 people, but to prioritize comfort and space, we set a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children for an enjoyable stay for all guests.

Great view with accommodations

Fire pit, picnic table, BBQ available - very clean and comfortable accommodation with spectacular view.

Very well stocked, very clean, with a nice view

If you find yourself in the Telegraph Cove/Port Hardy/Port McNeill area, this place is great. It sleeps 4 comfortably (more would be a stretch) and is really well stocked with all the details that you need. We usually travel with extras like sharp knives, BBQ utensils and a good frying pan - but didn't need to use any of them because this place is so well stocked. The travel and cooking books are really neat, and the DVD collection on-site is extensive. We woke up on our last morning to see a bear prowling on the shoreline below to cap off a very nice stay!
