Just like the nursery rhyme but getting straight to the baby bear experience, my wife and I found the quaint yet fully modern cottage located with an unobstructed waterfront view in a quiet RV/Marina park. Lots of natural beauty for us to enjoy an extended weekend with our two pups.
This was such a well put together place to stay, it was stocked with every amenity we needed. The location was great for us, it was quiet and private, and not far from Port McNeill. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
What a beautiful location, close to the shore and so quiet you can hear the whales blowing off shore. A lovely home situated on a quiet bay, spacious, clean and with great facilities. It's great having a BBQ and a fire pit, the accomodation is very well equipped and exactly as shown on the photos. Great, prompt responses from the host.
A wonderful stay.
Cottage #13 was clean, modern fixtures and appliances, very well stocked with kitchen utensils and housewares. Booking on-line was efficient, and communication with the property managers (Alder Bay RV park and marina) was excellent. Office staff were present 8am to 8pm and helpful. The location is very convenient: the bear watching (Sea Wolf) and whale watching (Sea Smoke) tour boats coming from Port McNeill and Alert Bay will pick you up on the Alder Bay marina dock, which will save you a lot of time because Alder Bay is their last passenger pick-up point before heading out see the wildlife, and their first drop-off point when coming back.
