Enjoy two living areas, a game room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dedicated workspace. Walk to shops, restaurants, and bars. Perfect for families, couples, or business travelers seeking a stylish and convenient home base.

Step inside this professionally decorated single-story home, where contemporary style and a warm, neutral color palette create a welcoming atmosphere. The home features two distinct living areas for relaxation and fun.

Your stay includes:

Main Living Room: Unwind on the comfortable sofa and enjoy the 55-inch HDTV with Roku.

Bonus Den: A versatile game and dining room with a game console and board games for a fun night in. Or it can be used as a dedicated Workspace: A quiet spot for those needing to stay connected.

Two Serene Bedrooms: Each furnished with a comfortable queen bed.

Modern Bathroom: Featuring a convenient walk-in shower with a low-profile base and a handheld shower head.

Fully Equipped Kitchen: Complete with stainless steel appliances for all your cooking needs.

Washer and dryer located in the basement for your convenience.

Guests will have private and exclusive access to the entire first floor of the house. This includes both bedrooms, the bathroom, the kitchen, the main living room, and the bonus TV/game/dining room. You are also welcome to enjoy the private front porch and the large backyard. For step-less entry, a ramp is available at the back of the house.

We believe in giving our guests space and privacy to enjoy their stay. We are not on-site, but we are always available and happy to assist with any questions or needs you may have. Please feel free to reach out to us through the app or by phone at any time.

Security: For your safety and security, there are video cameras located outside the front and back doors. These record video and audio and are for exterior monitoring only.

Second Floor Access: Please note that the second story of the house is locked and used for private storage. It is not accessible to guests, has no outside entry, and remains unoccupied at all times.

Excellent rental property all around! Clean and nicely furnished. Plenty of dining tables and lots of comfortable seating. Nice bedding. Updated bath with great water pressure. Supplementary A/C units on west side of house. Plenty of exterior seating and a BBQ grill. Off- and on-street parking. And best of all, a super location!

KC Soccer Tourney Homebase

Great landing spot for our family during a weekend soccer tournament. Close to lots of restaurants and shops, grocery stores, etc. The property was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Great spot and excellent location

The property was very clean when we arrived and had many board games available of you wanted to play them along with a switch. The location was excellent, just a short walk to downtown OP. Recommend going to the farmers market on Saturday!

Perfect home away from home

The Floyd Retreat is a great house. It is a great size with 2 living spaces if you need a little separation. The house is clean and was nice and cool in the Kansas heat. There is ample parking and so much to do within walking distance. Communication with the owners was great. We will book the Retreat again next time we are in Kansas.

Spring Break Golf Trip

My sons are teachers and came to the KC area to golf over spring break. They were joining a friend who lives in Overland Park. They found the house and location to be perfect for the long weekend!

We loved this place! A lot of care has been put into making you feel comfortable as a guest. It was clean, well-stocked and I felt like the host was incredibly responsive when I asked something. The place is charming and makes you feel like a local. The area is also really cute - you are seriously a 10 minute walk or less from downtown Overland Park with cute shops and cafes. It’s an easy drive anywhere in the surrounding area including exploring Kansas City. I recommend this place!

Good place in a good location

Really enjoyed the setup! Good floorplan with space to spread out, puzzle and WFH. Walking distance to downtown plus easy access to everything made the location super convenient for an out of towner. Everything worked and was reliable. Definitely recommend for long stays. It’ll feel like home!

We came to visit KC for a soccer tournament. We were thankful for being able to stay in a home and have the amenities of a kitchen. It was great location and about 20 minutes from anything/everything.

Great for the family

We stayed her over Thanksgiving as to not put out our family that lives in town. It was so cute and perfect for us! It slept my mom, myself and 3 kids! The boys used the den couches to sleep and LOVED having access to all the games and the switch. It was comfortable and clean. Highly recommend. Very well decorated as well. THANKS! Will be back again!
