Escape to paradise on your own yacht. Enjoy the ultimate luxury getaway on the S/V Barbara Jane, a 43 ft Bali catamaran moored on Honeymoon Beach, Water Island. Beach tennis, pickleball, volleyball, sunbathing and drinking or snacking at the beach bar, swimming with sea turtles (from the beach or right off the boats two swim platforms) and enjoying the crystal clear Caribbean water is just a short swim, kayak or paddle board to Honeymoon Beach. Enjoy your own owner’s cabin with a queen size bed, sitting area and a large bathroom and walk-in shower, and two smaller cabins with queen sized beds and ensuite smaller baths. Each bedroom is equipped with separately controlled A/C for warm nights.

Your yacht has a salon table that seats six, a large flybridge, outdoor seating and dining areas and two large cushioned sun decks on separate levels.Guests have 24/7 access to the kayak and paddle board, snorkel equipment, noodles/water toys and a galley with a large refrigerator-freezer, cookware and tableware. The galley and all appliances and lights are powered by a large solar array making it an eco-friendly option.

The host provides complimentary breakfast supplies left in the large refrigerator freezer and a daily dinghy ride to the ferry dock for access to great local restaurants, shopping, and sight-seeing. The host can also arrange concierge services including sunset dinner cruises or excursions including diving, snorkeling, deep sea fishing and tours of St Thomas. The host will be available to run the generator if you'd like to enjoy the AC (each bedroom has it's own thermostat for personal temperature preferences) or run the fresh water maker so the tank is always full for hot showers... He can help you with provisioning and arrange for the groceries to be delivered and placed in the fridge for your arrival. He can even arrange for local diver to visit the boat from the water daily with fresh lobster and catch of the day available for purchase. It gets no fresher than that!

The Ultimate Getaway

Our (too short - 3 nights) stay on the Barbara Jane felt like the ultimate indulgence for the price. From the gentle rocking lulling you to sleep at night in the spacious master suite, to the tasty meals prepared by Izzy, to the turtle, rays, fish and coral that abound in the bay, to the total relaxation on the spacious deck, to the Amazon sunsets and evenings under the stars, we had an amazing time. There were only three of us (plus the Steward/Chef/Deckhand, Izzy) and we had plenty of room. The water was perfect and the swim to the beach was easy. The snorkeling was great and only a five minute swim away. The owner and Izzy were extremely helpful in planning and very responsive to correspondence beforehand. Izzy (who stays onboard with you) was wonderful and very helpful. She will help with meals, food purchasing, tendering, pick up, arranging a day sail if you want to take the boat out (which I highly recommend), and more. Overall an amazing trip!

Clean + dazzling boat in spectacular location—Book this VRBO!

This was truly the best rental I’ve ever done. The boat is true to the description, well organized, and very clean. Izzy was a spectacular host, too! She was lovely to be around and was very thoughtful to all of our needs. She made sure that every detail of our trip was just right so we could make the most of our stay. The rooms were set up with clean sheets, blankets, towels that enabled a perfect nights sleep after a full day. Each morning Izzy prepared a thoughtful and fueling breakfast as we relaxed on the front of the boat to tan or fly bridge to feel a nice breeze. The location of the boat was perfect too, with easy accessibility to get to shops and restaurants, although we chose to stay on the boat and explore the surrounding area. We took advantage of our location at Honeymoon beach as much as possible: we snorkeled along the beach rocks spotting gorgeous coral and fish, swam amongst countless turtles, and paddle boarded into Dinghy’s Beach Bar for an evening pina colada. The amenities on the boat had everything we could ever need to thoroughly enjoy ourselves. We actually found ourselves choosing to spend more time on the boat than off of it! The sea breeze, views of turquoise water, and comfort that the boat offered made this trip so special and memorable. Every day was the perfect mixture of relaxation and adventure, and I hope to book this boat in the future! And thank you to Izzy for making this trip magical—It was the absolute best way to experience the Virgin Islands!

Dave and Mary are a retired couple who love to spend a few months every winter on their sailing catamaran named for Dave's mom, who grew up on Jones Beach and loved beach combing, swimming and family time in the sun. When they're on the boat, their friends and family are visiting almost every week and they all rave about the boat, the beautiful location and times they share together in this little paradise. When Dave and Mary return to their native Connecticut from late spring to mid-winter, they love the fact that others can enjoy their treasured Barbara Jane. The boat itself loves to be full with happy people enjoying each other in one of the most wonderful locations, and it comes with a chef hostess (Izzy) who knows the area, can take you day sailing or on sunset cruises, while preparing delicious included continental breakfasts and if you like, dinners or dinner cruises (all at an additional but quite reasonable charge). Izzy will handle all the electronics and amenities onboard for your comfort and be available for shore trips or dinghy rides to neighboring beaches, hikes, local attractions, shopping and restaurants.

It's cool vacationing on a comfortable boat like this 43 foot sailing catamaran, so close to a beautiful beach that you can swim or paddleboard in or snorkel right from the boat with the numerous sea turtles, rays and colorful fish that swim under and around this eco-friendly platform. It has a huge new solar panel array that keeps the house batteries charged at 100% all day almost every day, makes it's own fresh drinking water with an onboard desalinator yet has all modern amenities like a full kitchen, hot showers and AC for hot summer nights (though with the trade winds blowing almost every day and night, opening the bedroom windows and enjoying the rippling water and sea life right outside your bed is pretty cool also).

What makes this property unique

Jump in from the elevated deck or lower yourself from the rear swim platform and ladder to swim or snorkel right from the boat in crystal clear 20 foot water. Try out the paddleboards or swim right to the beach bar and enjoy a local drink, painkiller or rum punch and their excellent tuna poke bowls, bang bang shrimp, conch fritters or just some good ole hamburgers and fries. Play paddle tennis or volleyball on the sand courts or just lay under a palm tree or tiki hut and enjoy seeing the chef aboard preparing your chosen evening snacks and drinks (or make your own for free in the well stocked kitchen and bar). Enjoy a warm shower to wash off the refreshing salt water and suntan lotion from a day on the beach and lay out on one of the numerous sun pads and outdoor couches with sunset cocktails and star gazing.
