The space
This is a retreat like no other, the perfect stop to slow down, breathe deeply, and appreciate the beauty of nature before stepping back outside to the vibrant astir that is Oakland.

The furnished apartment is a complete unit, hosting a spacious bedroom with a Queen memory foam bed, a separate bathroom, and a full kitchen with a breakfast nook.

Whether you are visiting the Bay Area for business or pleasure, you will find the location to be incredibly convenient:

You'll have the convenience and flexibility of no-contact entry when you arrive at this Airbnb. The compound is enclosed within a gate that can be opened with a keypad.

Once inside the gate, the apartment has a private keyless entry entrance that can be found at the end of a beautiful walk through blooming Arabian Jasmine, and down stairs lined with century-old Ivy.

If you are driving, you can park anywhere in front of the house. Street parking is usually plenty up and down 28th Street. I recommend driving up Bayview Ave, if you cannot find parking readily on 28th.

Other things to note
On the corner of 8th & Park, there is a 24-hour convenience & liquor store located about a 4-minute walk from the house. To get there, take a left from the front gate and walk down 28th Street until you get to Park, and then take a left again and walk until 8th Street.

The closes grocery store is Trader Joe's, located on Lakeshore and Lake Park. Across the street from Trader Joe, is my favorite coffee shop, Arizmendi.

On the weekend, be sure to squeeze in a walk to Lake Merritt. I like to head there Saturday mornings for the farmer's market, and picnic by the lake until the afternoon.
