Hills of Portalon is a peaceful residential community with lots of 1.24 acres minimum, giving ample space between neighbors. It is conveniently located 5 minutes to the highway, 10 minutes to the AMAZING playa Linda, and the famous surf town of Dominical is just 20 minutes away. Traveling north, 20 minutes to the Quepos airport, Hospital, the brand new Marina Pez Vela, banks and large supermarkets!
This safe neighborhood is perfect for families or those looking for the perfect home to enjoy your next Costa Rica vacation. Its close proximity to Manuel Antonio, Quepos and Dominical, and all the amenities and restaurants that those places offer.

Our local host is David, a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide, and he will be glad to share his knowledge of the area ensuring you have a wonderful time, and get to do and see all the things that brought you here. Plus, he can book all of your tours and activities at no added cost.

Chad & Tania, the owners of this amazing vacation rental, love Costa Rica and are committed to making your stay one you will always remember. After visiting many parts of Costa Rica, we chose the Dominical area as our favorite. It’s a unique part of the Central America coast where the jungle meets the ocean. Where else can you hear and see both the ocean as well as howler monkeys and four-foot long iguanas? Add in world class surfing, fishing, and the world famous Marino Ballena National Park nearby. You can fly into Quepos from San Jose (a short 20 minute flight on Sansa Airlines - flysansa.com - instead of a 3+ hour drive) where they will bring your rental car right to where you pick up your luggage. You’ll be at your villa in an easy 40 minutes from when your plane lands! Or, we can arrange a shuttle that will pick you up as soon as you step outside the San Jose airport that will take you right to our home. You will need a 4x4 to get to our property, as well as many restaurants and attractions in the area.

Awesome house to relax

As soon as you arrive at the house you feel the calm and nature close to you. The house was lovely. Furniture looked new, all was very clean, and looked very modern and comfy. The pool was delicious, with a great size, and all the backyard was perfect to spend the night chilling and talking. We had a great experience, and owners were very friendly and easygoing.

A fantastic alternative to the Quepos/MA area but still close enough to enjoy the park and beaches without the daily annoyances. There are many beautiful beaches and plenty of wildlife nearby so you can even skip the trip to the heavily traveled areas.

Beautiful place in stunning setting!

Our foursome enjoyed exquisite views of the countryside, mountains, lovely gardens and the night sky. Wow! The hosts were superb, the house is modern and beautifully appointed. David’s recommendations were wonderful! Highly recommend!

What a view! what a place!!!! This house and its environment are just Wonderful! We loved our stay there, the house was perfectly cleaned at our arrival! We had all the information needed to get there easily. And David had give us really great advices for the activities around and restaurants. He had been available when needed! You will never regreat this place if you rent it!
