The cabin was located in a beautiful, quiet location with an amazing view. We enjoyed walking around the property and walking down to the river. It is a very steep climb, so wear good shows. The swimming hole at the bottom was very secluded, but there was another family swimming there. The cabin has nice amenities and the bed was fairly comfortable. We also enjoyed sitting out on the deck and using the grill to cook out. We were visited by the neighbors dogs, which was a little surprising. All in all it was a great stay.
It was almost overwhelming to arrive at this beautiful, isolated setting. The garden and the home are both meticulously arranged and maintained. The separate cottage with its second bedroom has the porch overlooking the river that is the main picture for the listing. It is down a short walk from the main house. We loved sitting outside on the deck or on the porch to have a meal or to just listen to the birds and look at the flowers. I took every opportunity I could to step outside and enjoy. The walk to the river is steep and difficult as described in the listing. During our stay, it had been raining making it slippery and nearly impossible in sections.I did go all the way to the river. My wife only made it halfway. We are both in our 70s. The walk to the river was worth it. If the weather had been warmer, I definitely would have gone swimming. The kitchen was well furnished. We cooked a meal with no problem, using the supplies on hand. The dishwasher is small but high-quality. It was just right for this situation. The queen size bed was comfortable. We both slept well. There was no noise or street lighting to interfere. There are security lights available on the outside if desired.Overall, I can’t praise this beautiful setting enough. We experienced rain almost every day. Rather than spoil our experience, we are motivated to book the same house again next year at a time when the weather will be more favorable.
We have stayed at Lotus point before and this place always exceeds any expectations we may have. It is such a wonderful place to stay and all the little artistic touches are so neat. The porch outside is a great place to relax in the morning with coffee or in the evening as the sunsets and the stars come out. The addition of a roof over the side porch is a nice touch. We will definitely be back.
We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. Close to town, but very private and in a beautiful wooded area. Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed time on the porch and grilling. We'll definitely be back!
The cabin is in the most beautiful setting and is so cozy on the inside - it feels like a magical home away from home. The mossy path to the River Trail is captivating. The River Trail to the Little Buffalo River is worth the trek. Jasper and the surrounding area are delightful. We will stay here again and again.
This place was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Everything was available for easy resting. We sat and enjoyed the birds when we weren't on the trails. Beautiful views of the river as well. The host have excellent directions from multiple routes, which helped since the river was up and over one of them.
This cozy little house in the woods was the perfect spot for me and my husband to unwind. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside and relaxing on the deck. The yard and house are beautifully cared for, and the views of Mt. Sherman and the little Buffalo River was a special treat too.
a nispecial ce treat too.
This was our second time staying here. We absolutely love the location and the peace and quiet. Love the deck outside and being able to sit and just take the scenery or look up at the stars at night. It’s close to the town of Jasper, so it’s an easy trip for necessities or to visit a local restaurant. Everything about the cabin makes you feel right at home and the unique decor is just right. We will definitely be back again.
The pictures don’t do this place justice! It was comfortable, clean, and cozy inside. The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. It was located down a long gravel road and though there were a few distant neighbors, it felt very private, secluded, and quiet. We enjoyed looking at all the artwork and other unique finds throughout the cabin. The large covered deck was a highlight in the early mornings, where we would drink coffee and listen to the roosters as the sun came up over the mountains. The sweet neighbor doggies coming by to say hello was a nice bonus. The cabin was within an hour drive of several area hikes, and downtown Jasper was just a short drive away. Having WiFi was great because there is very little cell service in that area. The owner/host was highly responsive and communicative. We would definitely stay here again! It was perfect for our hiking adventures.
We had a great time at the cabin, it was quiet and cozy! We didn't realize how remote it was at first, so we had to get used to not having service. Beautiful scenery close to the buffalo!
