We had an amazing stay at this adorable historic cabin in Berea, KY! The cabin was full of charm and character, and the location couldn't have been more perfect for exploring all that Kentucky has to offer. From kayaking through a flooded, abandoned mine to exploring the vast Mammoth Caves and visiting the Ark Encounter, our days were packed with adventure.John was a fantastic host—quick to respond and full of great local recommendations that made our trip even better. My family and I truly felt at home and already can’t wait to come back for another stay!
Our stay was amazing. This cabin was everything advertised and more. The history of the property was an extra fact that we learned while there and made our stay much more adventurous. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a little solitude and relaxation. We will return, soon, now that we know this place is here.
The cozy cabin deserves an A. The directions provided made it easy to find and the pictures on the listing are completely accurate. The cabin is spotlessly clean and the beds were the best ever. (Wish I had this mattress at home!). We loved the nicely appointed decor. There was a puzzle provided which helped us pass a quiet evening. We were about 7 minutes from hiking at The Pinnacles which was challenging and fun. And a 15 minute drive got us to Berea which is a delightful town. We’d love to return to this cozy cabin. So thankful we discovered this home.
Nestled in the mountain on secluded property, it was peaceful and quiet. The cabin itself is impeccably clean and has just what you would need for a quiet get away. Yet this place was short drives to many destinations. We had a great family getaway with many memories made!
Wonderful Experience. I rented this place for my wife’s birthday and could not have been more satisfied. The cabin was spotless, comfortable beds, and amazing views with peace and quiet. The host checked in to see if everything was fine and if we needed anything. Secluded away in the woods, but close enough to restaurants and shopping. Only problem with this place is that we couldn’t stay longer. Definitely will return and would recommend to others.
A perfect get away nestled in the woods. We saw the beautiful vistas only footsteps away from the cabin. A convenient drive to town and hiking trails.
Woth coming back to.
Absolutely wonderful stay, gorgeous grounds and cabin. Would absolutely stay again. Cabin is stocked with everything you could need during your stay. Communication with host was top notch. Sad to leave!
Beautiful cabin with very interesting history. We loved walking over the grounds and reading about the connection with Berea College.
Very clean, a comfortable mattress, and everything you need in the kitchen.
John was quick to respond and very helpful with questions. Highly recommend!
Four Senior Ladies in a Cozy Cabin in the dark, dark woods.
After all was said and done we decided we couldn’t have had a better place to stay. The cabin was clean and well maintained with a TV, cookware, comfortable seating, lots of lights inside and out, comfortable queen beds, etc. We did have trouble navigating the rock slab steps, but we discovered it was better to drive up the hill and park even with the yard to transfer suitcases etc. from the car to the cabin. Even though the dishwasher looked “newish” we couldn’t figure out how to use it. Perhaps a paper with directions on how to use it would be useful. Also, the Keurig coffee machine had a blinking light to descale it. The Keurig worked for us but it needs to be descaled to keep it working. The two scatter rugs in the bathroom need to be replaced with a thin one that the door can clear. For safety the rug should have a backing to keep it from sliding on the floor. If these few suggestions can be fixed Cozy Cabin will be perfect!! By the way, there is an amazing mountaintop view not for from the cabin!!
This was my second trip here, and the host was accommodating when I asked if I could extend my stay another night. I called VRBO support and they worked with the host to extend my stay. I am so appreciative! Wonderful cabin in an amazing location, I will stay here again, and again!
This storybook cottage was enchanting in every way. Beautifully kept and with plenty of charming amenities. We fell in love with this wonderful cabin. Cleaner than a laboratory and more relaxing than a massage. Definitely a place to treasure.
This is a beautiful cabin tucked away from the craziness of the world. The property is amazing, inside and out. Plenty of places on the decks to sit outside and enjoy nature. Inside is clean and comfortable, perfect little getaway for my daughter and I. John was great when it came to communication. I highly recommend this cabin.
Nice quite place in woods, morning coffee in very quite setting. Cabin is neat well kept easy access and manager keeps you informed and always checking if you need something. Top rated
We were unable to stay due to a family emergency. I messaged several weeks ahead that we would not be able to come. I messaged the phone line listed, emailed the host, messaged the host and sent a message on VRBO. I did not get a response and sent these messages twice. I am hoping the host saw our messages and just did not respond. This looked like a darling place to stay! Hoping to try again one day in our future!
What a stunning location! We loved our views of the forest from the wrap around deck. The beds were super comfortable and there were many creature comforts. Provided was a Keurig as well as a traditional coffee maker, some K cups, some tea bags, creamer, a toaster, a microwave, a cutting board, various styles of glasses (wine, water, mugs…) and there were plenty of towels, body wash, shampoo, extra linens, a hair dryer, an iron, hangers, etc. There were outside spaces we didn’t even get to use. It was a quick drive to Berea where we went daily. The directions to the cabin were easy to follow and communication was very prompt. Great rental!
We had a need for a quick stay in the area and found the Cozy Cabin. Owner was great with responses and all the follow-up. Could not have asked for a better experience as well as a cozy place to stay.
We enjoyed staying here and would again. It was very clean and had nice amenities like hooks on the bedroom and bathroom for towels and clothes, room in the bathroom for toiletries and a GREAT outdoor space. Kitchen was big enough to prepare meals.
We loved the cabin everything was as pictured description was accurate and the cabin was clean well furnished really nice the property manager was super helpful would definitely recommend this cabin and would book again if we are in the area
Such a treasure! We wish we had booked another night so we could enjoy the beautiful location and relaxing amenities. We hope to come back in the fall! John was so accommodating and responsive!
