The location was 10 minutes from Snow Trails, and was perfect for our trip. Very clean, plenty of the expected amenities. If icy, could be challenging to get to, property manager gave us a heads up about this. Highly recommend!

Very steep driveway
Before booking this property in winter months make sure you verify the driveway will be plowed and salted for your arrival. When we arrived the very long and steep driveway had not been plowed. We didn’t realize it was also icy under the snow until it was too late and one of our vehicles slid off the driveway. Our 4WD made it to the top, our other two vehicles were stuck at the bottom of the drive. We had to have a tow truck come pull one vehicle out. My mother fell and injured her knee on the drive which was a sheet of ice. We had to shovel a path up the icy snowy stairs to get in. I called the owner, he said his plow service was running late due to a breakdown and would be there within a couple of hours. Even after plowing, salt hadn’t had a chance to melt the ice so the driveway was still very dangerous. After 2 hours of hauling our groceries and belongings up an icy drive using sleds we brought we were exhausted and did not feel safe trying to get our vehicle down and back up the drive again, so half of our group missed our snow tubing reservations, which was our entire reason for making the 4 hour drive and was a Christmas present for our kids. The owner was apologetic and offered a small discount for our stay, unfortunately it doesn’t make up for the fact what was supposed to be a special trip for us was pretty much ruined.
We chose this amazing place for our family trip to Snowtrails for some snow tubing. The property was amazingly close to Snowtrails. Once we arrived at the property, the pictures in the ad doesn’t do it justice. My whole family loved the amenities and the extras. We will stay again but for a longer period. Thank you for the amazing experience and the memories.
We had 19 people including seven children aged seven and under, all related but coming from different cities and states to attend a wedding at a nearby venue. The Hillside Cabin served us perfectly! There was plenty of beautiful room for everyone and such cozy spots for hanging out visiting. The young children needed supervision on the stairs bur had a blast playing with their cousins inside and around the property. The kitchen is well stocked and spacious for group cooking. The owners were very gracious when I realized I had forgot an item after we locked the door and checked out. All and all, it was a very special and memorable stay.
Also, a round of golf at nearby Deer Run was really fun.
I had an amazing little get away to the cabin it is a lot bigger than I would have thought and the pool was lovely! All the patios and balconies made it such a good spot to go and sit in different spots I didn’t get bored once!! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!
Hillside Cabin was absolutely beautiful and had everything I needed to host a proper dinner. The owners are friendly, accommodating, and were very helpful in returning items we left behind. My brother and his family loved the property so much that they intend to book it again for us next year.
I do have to say that I reserved with the understanding that I would have a 2 hour early check-in to prepare the dinner I was hosting. Four days prior, I emailed the owner to confirm said check-in. They informed me that they could not accommodate our original arrangement, causing me to lose half of my meal prep time. I understood their reasons, but was very frustrated and had to change my entire mean plan at the last minute.
Another issue was that the hot tub was cold upon arrival, and never reached more than 90 degrees during our stay. Everyone came prepared and excited for the hot tub, yet no one could use it. I did not contact the owners as it was Christmas Eve and did not see how anyone could make the water hotter in the time allotted.
I also feel I should point out that the bedroom listed as having 2 Queen beds and 2 Twin beds actually has 2 Queen beds (one of which is crammed into a closet space), 1 Twin bed, and one sofa which is almost the size of a twin. This was an issue because we are a family of tall people, but I think a group with smaller children would be fine.
The property was stunning. Amenities were wonderful. The labeling of the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen was super helpful. Bedrooms were cozy on all floors. All the games were a big hit. Highly recommend as we plan to head back ourselves.
We had a great weekend with about 17 adults. There was plenty of spaces to sleep and plenty of activities in the house for us to enjoy. The property manager responded quickly to all questions/concerns.
This house is incredible! Inside is every bit as beautiful as the pictures. We were a big family group and the house had a giant table big enough for all 15 of us. The kitchen was well stocked. From the fire pit to the pool to the hot tub to the garage of games- this place made it easy to make memories and have an unforgettable time. Hosts were easy to reach and even left a small welcome basket of s’mores supplies!
Twenty teachers enjoyed this perfect cabin in the woods, for the second time. Plenty of space, kitchen fully stocked (just need a garbage disposal), comfy beds, and great outdoor area. We will be back.

We’re Siri and Ken. We are east-coasters who come from large extended families and were raised where gatherings of family and friends made up many of our happy childhood memories. We knew we wanted to raise our son, Ashwin, in a similar environment. We spend many weekends hosting family from near and far and know the importance of making people feel welcome in our home.
The Hillside has been a dream of ours for years. It is a place for gathering- where friends and family can reconnect, relax, and create lasting memories.
Why they chose this property
After many months of scouring the real estate market we finally found this gem of a property. It was important for us to buy a comfortable place surrounded by nature that could accommodate a large number of people so that we could enjoy the property with our family and friends when guests are not visiting.
