3 bed/2 bath cabin sits on the bank of the Upper Iowa River with majestic views of the towering bluffs. You can practically fish right off the back deck. Bring your kayaks, tubes, fishing poles, and of course bathing suits.
*Right by Dorchester public ground hunting.
*Hot tub available all year round with views of the river
*Pets allowed for a one time $50 pet fee per pet
*washer /dryer
-propane for grill and firewood are not provided with this rental. Please bring your own firewood/buy it in local town. There will be a tank at property that can be filled in town as well.
-3 night minimum stay required for weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend.

We had a wonderful time with our sons! The house was very spacious, and we really appreciated that everyone had their own room. It was a great setup for our family.A few things that may be helpful for future guests: the Keurig coffee maker wasn’t working, although we were able to use the other coffee maker. A few of the kitchen outlets were loose and may need some attention. We also enjoyed grilling, although the grill needed to be cleaned before we could use it, and the propane tank was empty, so we exchanged it in town.The dumpster is located fairly close to the house, which did attract quite a few flies around the door. We purchased fly strips during our stay to help with that.Overall, we had a great stay and really enjoyed the spacious house and our time together as a family. I hope these notes are helpful for the owners in making an already enjoyable property even better for future guests.

We stayed during the off season, spending our spring break exploring the driftless area. House was warm & welcoming and we enjoyed the hot tub. Very hands off communication with the host. We had everything we needed. Roadway was busy but the noise didn’t bother us. Fun spot!

Cabin was just exactly set up the way it should be. Plenty of room beautiful views all amenities were there from cook surfaces to grill room to sleep. People enjoyed the hot tub. Just great experience.

Cozy cabin, awesome location

Loved staying at the Lazy River Cabin and would definitely stay again! Very cozy property and perfect location on the river with quick access to other streams. Huge bonus with the hot tub, too.

Cabin was cozy, especially with a fire going.We had a great view of the stars and a meteor shower at night. Local recommendations for sights, food, gas, firewood, etc were spot on. Some of the cutlery/ utensils weren't completely clean (maybe from the previous guest) but we clean before using regardless.

Awesome place

This cabin is amazing. The scenery is perfect for a getaway. The river being right outside made it a nice view, good fishing, and we did a float right to the cabin. We will definitely stay here again.

The location and view was great, quiet. Air conditioner didn’t work the second night it was 85 degrees inside, first night was cool outside so wasn’t noticeable. We didn’t get back till late so we didn’t bother trying to get help with it. No working lights outside, blinds are all broken, fridge/freezer not cold my ice melted over night. Rodent killer bottle sitting outside the door. I cleaned the dehumidifier filter as it was completely coated with dust. The ac head is dirty so it probably needs a good cleaning too.

It was amazing! Such a beautiful place and so well maintained! The views are stunning, the fishing was good and the quaint little town of Dorchester is a real jewel!. I fell in love with The Driftless

Liked that the cabin was exactly as advertised. 3 bedrooms was what we wanted, and space to have our things. Was a complete property, as in its a turn key stay. Just bring your food and drink, and enjoy the wonderful views and scenery.
