Shelby family weekend

Cozy house setting in pretty quiet neighborhood, convenient to local amenities. Easy to find from highway(Rte74) and main thoroughfare(Rte18).

Our stay in Shelby was great. The house was comfortable & well supplied with everything we needed. The location, so close to Uptown Shelby & to the ball park where the World Series was played, was so convenient. Courtney, our host, was very organized & sent all the information we needed for a smooth arrival & an easy departure. We appreciated her recommendations for area sites to enjoy & restaurants to try.We’re hoping to visit Shelby again next summer and we would love to stay here again!

Loved the location!

Our adult kids met us here to enjoy a long July 4th weekend in Shelby. This house was so clean and perfectly appointed with cool, comfortable furniture. I especially loved the location because a pleasurable walk through the heart of the Shelby Historic District puts you in the adorable Uptown area where we ate excellent food and drank good beer. The McSwain House was perfect place to call home. We were all very happy here!

We had a fantastic stay in this home. My daughter needed a place for her bridal shower that we and her bridesmaids could also stay because everyone lives so far apart. We stayed for a weekend for fun and time to set up, party and clean out, and this fit the bill. We all slept comfortably and had plenty of room for the bridal shower for a couple of hours. I appreciate the owner being so hospitable and allowing us to host a small party.

A relaxing oasis in uptown Shelby

What a lovely "home away from home"! I was in town to settle the estate and home of my late sister and, at my friends' urging, booked this VRBO house instead of a hotel. Brilliant! We had a roomy, lovely, clean, and relaxing home base during a sad time. We cooked, could truly relax on comfy chairs and sofas, and even had local friends for dinner our last night in town (plenty of room at the dining table for friends). Beds were super comfortable, with breathable, silky sheets. We had a couple of questions and our host was extremely responsive and helpful. This was a wonderful experience and I recommend the host and the property.
