There are multiple free parking spots off the main street to this property. Ramp to back entrance of home.

This was a wonderful, clean, cozy stay in a great location. Communication was excellent, and there was so much to do in town. We LOVED the chickens and reading on the balcony! We've already recommended them to friends!!

Great Get-a-way

We enjoyed everything about the property. It was quiet and comfortable. However, too hot to use the hot tub haha. The amenities were great. We got to enjoy the Dunes State Park along with some local food and shops. 10/10 would recommend their place to anyone!

Very comfortable

This home is very cozy. The kitchen was well stocked and all of the bedrooms had large closets. Beds are comfortable. Living room has ample seating and a relaxed atmosphere. The hosts were easy to communicate with via text. Would stay again!

Beautifully remodeled home with ample parking

We really enjoyed our stay. Our host was top notch...even baked us some breakfast breads for Easter morning! The house is beautiful and the beds were very comfy. It has a really nice deck and ample parking on property. Would highly recommend this house.

Felt like home

The minute we walked in the door, we felt like we were at home. The house is beautifully maintained with gorgeous wood floors and stairs. We were so comfortable there. The bedrooms were all beautiful and the beds were comfortable. The neighborhood is cute and close to everything we needed. Our hosts were the best! We loved staying there.

Great downtown place to stay

If you want a place that is close to all the shops and restaurants downtown, this is the place. Quite neighborhood with good sidewalks. The home is clean, comfy and well stocked. The owners were easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.

Weekend in Valpo

There were four of us in town for the weekend and we enjoyed our stay at the house. There was plenty of room to spread out. Joanne was very responsive and when we asked for an iron and iron board, she quickly delivered one to us. The house was nice and clean. I’m would definitely stay there again.

Very cozy!

Thank you, Jo and James for the hospitality! The home is cozy and inviting—we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. You were easy to get a hold of when we needed anything and you were pleasant to chat with. I was also really impressed by the accessibility features of the home. When my mom came by, she could easily get around on the lower level, which saved everyone a lot of stress. We would highly recommend staying at your VRBO home and would love to come back next time we are in town.

Excellent stay and great hosts

Hot tube great! House well stocked. Had a issue figuring out TV not realizing it was streaming only but we got it and then it was ok. Note: 2nd bathroom with tub and washer and dryer are in the basement with pretty steep stairs. Two of us couldnt go down there because of mobility issues. We loved the house otherwise and we loved the hosts! They were great! We hope to return soon!

dunes vacation

This lovely 3 bedroom home fit our needs perfectly. The location was great for a quick trip over to the dunes and harbor. The kitchen was stocked with sufficient amenities to save money by preparing meals at home. We loved having the hot tub/spa off the deck and laundry to wash and dry our suits and towels. The bathrooms provided sufficient space for family needs. When we shared an observation about the hot tub needing chlorine, the owners were quick to respond and even change out the water for fresh. Despite all the inclement weather during our stay, we had plenty of space to move around and a good selection of videos:) All in all, a wonderful stay!

Nice home but had damages claimed against us

The property itself was nice and held up to the photos on the listing. However, there are a couple negatives/warnings I feel others should be aware of. 1. The hot tub water was not very clean; there was a milky layer on the top. 2. Home is not advisable for children as there was a crossbow and pellet gun left unlocked and in plain view in the basement. 3. Shortly after checkout, the owner texted me to notify me they would be filing a $2000 claim against the damages insurance policy I purchased for “new scratches” to the wood floor along with images of said scratches. From the images, it appeared that there was years’ worth of normal wear and tear to the wood floors. Many of the scratches and indentations in the images appeared to have been previously varnished over, indicating that they were not new scratches from our stay. The insurance company ended up paying out the claim, but this was an unnecessary source of worry for 2 weeks. Overall, the home mostly lived up to expectations, but we are frustrated about the claim filed because we do not feel that we caused the alleged damages. I would recommend taking pictures of the state of the home at check-in to prevent this from happening to you.

The ramp worked awesome for my large power wheelchair. The first floor was very accessible. The bedrooms on the second floor were a bit far from the bathroom in the basement but we managed.

The house was clean, comfy, and charming. Perfect for our home base as we visited several friends after moving away from Valparaiso a couple of years ago. Some accessibility features were very helpful after a recent injury. This is a great spot for a visit to Valpo. Highly recommended.

The house was actually better than described. More than enough room to fit everyone, and more than normal extras. There was a highchair, and several items that the little one could play with. They provided all the extras such as toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags which are normally things we needed to buy. We were able to get deliveries quickly from Walmart and door dash. The hot tub was amazing and perfect to relax in. The 2nd bathroom came in handy with a tub for the little one to play in.

Das Ferienhaus war genau wie beschrieben. Es war alles vorhanden. Gut eingerichtete Küche. Parkplatz vorhanden. Sehr netter Kontakt mit dem Vermieter. Wir hatten eine Kleinigkeit gemeldet und es wurde sofort behoben. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Super Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zum See.
