Fisherman's Cove is one of 4 rentals at the Blue Heron Retreat and is located on the lower level of the main lodge. It's a lake lovers' dream with sunrise views from your private patio and yard space. Includes a full kitchen with dining table, a full bath with a combination tub and shower as well as washer and dryer. One bedroom includes 2 double beds, a second bedroom hosts one double bed, and the living room has a pull-out sofa.
With over 200 footage of sandy beach The Blue Heron Retreat allows you and your guests to splash, play and relax. Venture out further into the lake for fishing, kayaking, boating or catching the sunset. Enjoy time in Blue Heron Retreat's shared spaces, including the Grotto, and campfire areas, or relax in the spa as you take in the views of spring-fed, clear Diamond Lake. The property sits on the terraced hill. There are 4 levels with stairs and a stair lift was added in 2024 for 2 sets of stairs for those who need it. Owners live on the property, however keep to themselves, while also keeping the grounds & hot tubs maintained.

This lake-front vacation rental beauty is available late May through end of September.

Waterfront room/kitchenette. Had appliances, utensils, pots,pans,and everything we needed to enjoy our week. Low-key place, especially if you don't wanna vacation with a crowd. Several clean and well maintained hot tubs(one right outside our room). There were several sets of stairs to get to the water/ beach; but because its a hillside resort, it creates different secluded areas where you feel almost like you have a private resort to yourself. Now if your looking for a modern resort feel,its not for you. But if you want small town charm and a place to unwind, nothing beats it. The best part was our dog got to vacation with us and we didn't have to leave her home with the neighbors. There was plenty of space for all of us and the host Christine was a refreshing kind soul who made us feel at home and couldn't have been more welcoming! We loved our stay and plan on returning annually and are hoping to return with other family members renting out the other rooms because this is the kind of place your kids will remember and try to recreate with their kids!

Lake life

The host, Christine, was great. She takes pride in all the hard work she’s out into making it their perfect getaway, and it did not disappoint. The house was equipped with everything you need. GREAT property, perfect location for a relaxing break from reality. Brought our 2 Goldens and they absolutely LOVED all the outdoors accessibility.

Girls get away

Listing doesn't say there's alot of steps. We would of never booked for that reason. Also didn't say the area is a shared area with other people. Not enough blankets etc. Best part was the hot tub.

The Blue Heron Retreat has four rental units that all boast of their lake views, The Blue Heron Suite, Fisherman’s Cove, and Sunrise Suite are all attached to the main lodging. The Eagles Nest is a separate cabin overlooking the water. We have a number of amenities and common spaces on our property that are available for all guests, including kayaks, hot tubs, fire pit, multiple deck spaces (including our new Grotto), and more. We also have packages that can be purchased separately on our site for pontoon rentals, massage, and picnic kayak outings. Our retreat is located 6 miles north of the quaint town of White Cloud, Michigan. This small town is an outdoors enthusiast's dream. White Cloud boasts of its many nature trails (North Country Trail, ORV trails, Dragon Trail) with opportunities for hiking, biking, snowmobiling and getting a little mud on your tires.

Further you’ll find the Loda Lake Wildflower Sanctuary, Lake Michigan (only a 35-minute drive), and the Muskegon River for swimming, kayaking, tubing, fishing and so much more!
