About this property

Azevedo Ranch Lake House, a Peaceful Family Stay Near Bryce with Lake & Wildlife

Welcome to the Lake House at Azevedo Ranch — a peaceful, one-of-a-kind stay in the high desert just minutes from Bryce Canyon.

Our ranch is a rare oasis in this landscape, with green grass, mature trees, and a small on-site lake that brings life and calm to the property.

It’s a place to slow down, breathe, and enjoy a quieter pace — whether you’re visiting the national parks or simply looking for a comfortable place to land.

The Lake House sits on our family-owned ranch and offers a spacious, comfortable home base for your stay. You’ll have your own private home, with room to relax inside and out, while still being part of the wider ranch setting.

The lake is a special feature of the ranch and is shared among the three guest accommodations on the property. Each space is separate and private, but you may see other guests enjoying the grounds during your stay.

You’ll also notice animals around the ranch — part of what gives this place its charm. This is a hobby ranch, not a commercial farm, but the presence of animals adds to the experience in a way that feels grounded and real.

We’re located just off Highway 89, about 1.9 miles south of the turnoff to Bryce Canyon (Highway 12). That makes this an ideal home base for exploring Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, and the surrounding area — while staying somewhere that feels peaceful and removed from the crowds.

Inside the Lake House, you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a well-stocked kitchen, whether you’re here for a few nights or a longer visit.

It’s well-suited for families or small groups who want space to spread out and a relaxed, welcoming environment to come back to at the end of the day.

Outside, you can enjoy the open space, fresh air, and the unique beauty of the ranch. Mornings are quiet and calm. Evenings are perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.

Stargazing here is incredible, right from the front lawn! We know you’ll love this special place.

A few important notes:

The ranch includes three separate guest rentals (Lake House, Cowboy Loft, and Cowboy Cabin)
The lake and outdoor areas such as fire pits are shared across the property
The owner lives on-site in a separate private residence
This is a peaceful, rural setting — not a resort or event property
No pets, no camping, and no events without prior approval
Do not feed our animals. However, you can ask to participate with ranch work and feedings! We are happy to share our pets with you!

Your property will be unlocked and ready for you when you arrive.

If you need anything during your stay, feel free to reach out.

Cozy yet Spacious Ranch Home

We stayed for two nights at the ranch and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My kids loved visits from the owner's fluffy dog as well as getting to visit the other farm animals. The house has a great porch and the yard is perfect for playtime. We loved the decor inside the home as it was warm and welcoming as was the host. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We were charmed by the ranch.

The farmhouse provided easy access to Bryce Canon. We hiked breathtaking trails and streamed movies at night. We were absolutely charmed by the animals! The cows and goats enjoyed interaction. The alpacas were shy and curious and adorable. Communication was excellent. Lex responded to all my questions. He gave great advice when asked about services, restaurants, and where we could get supplies. We had a great stay.

Beautiful property! Loved the animals and Lex was very friendly to deal with. We love sitting out and enjoying the views and relaxing on this peaceful property! The home is very beautiful as well! A couple things to update on listing would be there is no king bed and no AC, thankfully it was cool enough in the evening for us to open the windows. Also, in order to use the laundry room it has to be requested to be unlocked. And one thing that was awkward for us was the master bathroom has very sheer window coverings so you can see clearly in and there's no shower curtain or covering over the shower and there are homes behind the bathroom area. It was about a half an hour drive for us to go to Bryce Canyon where we enjoyed horseback riding.

Property has a great location but inaccurately represented by owner as a 3 bedroom property- 1 Queen bed bedroom, 1 King bed bedroom, and a 3rd bedroom with multiple beds. There was a queen bed primary suite, a bedroom with multiple beds and an open loft a with a trundle bed. We found mouse droppings in the silverware drawer and on the trundle bed. The mice scurrying in the walls of the primary suite made sleeping difficult. We messaged the owner after the first night with no response until the next day after we left. Great location but was disappointing for us traveling friends who thought we booked a 3 bedroom home. Take note of this properties lack of photos of thee bedrooms. Only 2 pics of the primary bedroom suite.
