About this property
Gorgeous Waterfront Views on Tarpon Bay,Walk to Beach,
This tip-lot home is at the end of a cul-de-sac facing Landmark Bay, one of the most sought-after wide-water views on Marco Island. The home is designed for indoor-outdoor living, with sliding glass doors from three different rooms leading to a large, screened lanai and heated pool.
A public entrance to the widest beach on the island is a 6-minute walk from our home. Tigertail Beach, outstanding for bathing, birding and shelling, is a five minute drive and South Marco Beach, also wide, is a ten minute drive. Rookery Bay bird sanctuary is a short drive up Route 951. And for golfers, there are several signature courses close by.
For those who like to fish, Landmark Bay is called Tarpon Bay because it shelters baby tarpon year-round. It is not unusual to occasionally see four and five-foot tarpon splashing about just off the patio dock.
Landmark Bay also hosts a variety of small fish (snapper, sheepshead porgies, cravalle jacks, ladyfish) and an occasional snook coming to hook. Also, dolphins cruise through the bay on a regular basis, popping to the surface in their acrobatic display.
In addition, there is much bird life on the bay, including many pelicans, herons, egrets, ibis, spoonbills and, of course, seagulls. On occasion, you might spot an osprey, hawk or owl. There also are colonies of burrowing owls on Marco Island.
The single-story home has a 165-foot seawall with a 20 x 18-foot patio dock jutting into the bay. There is an attractive living room for entertaining, a full, formal dining room, and family room with tile floors throughout.
For entertainment, there is a 46-inch Sony Bravia HDTV and a Sony Blu-ray player. There also is a Comcast DVR that allows archiving of current Comcast TV programs and movies for later viewing. Secure high-speed Internet service is provided throughout the property
Most of your time probably will be spent outdoors on the screened lanai, which is furnished with dining table and chairs and a breakfast bar, which can be served directly from the kitchen. On the lanai is a wicker set with a love seat, lounge and chair, a good place to read a book and/or watch the children while they are in the pool.
For those who love the sun, the patio dock will be the draw while at home. There are several chaise lounges on the lanai that can be moved easily to the dock. And fishing from the dock, ahhhh!
For you and your family's safety a Ring security system has been installed on the front, right and left sides of the outside perimeter of the house.
Hope you enjoy your stay!!
