Absolutely enjoyed our stay, the property was perfect to host my friends! Mountain views were as advertised!!Thank you for making it so easy to check in and out. Your house is wonderful and felt lived in with all the plants and lived in touches, perfect. We will look to rent again!!
We really enjoyed our girl's weekend in the CO mountains at Mary and Brian's beautiful cabin. This felt more like staying at a friend's place than a standard VRBO. As all the other reviews state, the place is very clean and has all the utensils/cookware you'll need to be able to cook and enjoy your meals. The pleasant surprise was all the fun art all over the house. We just loved that as much as the deck, pool table, foosball, babbling brook, sunroom, heated floors. This place is a gem and the owners are fabulous hosts!
This was a wonderful place to stay. The cabin was very welcoming and the views are breathtaking! The host was very helpful and provided everything we needed for our stay! It was only a 20min drive to Breckenridge but gave us a quiet place to end our day.
Property was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Hosts communicated effectively. Very peaceful and quiet, especially enjoyed the banking brook and the game room with the pool table.
My family (wife and 2 younger boys) absolutely LOVED our stay! As many other guests have pointed out, the views are absolutely fantastic, and having the windows open to listen to the babbling brook was icing on the cake. The house was very well-stocked, and plenty of room. We already are planning a trip to come back next year. Fantastic!
It was an amazing experience overall. The views were spectacular from almost every point of the house. Location was very conveniently close to the major attractions we went to. Also they came to check on us during our stay which gave us ease of mind. We will definitely book again in the future.
Simply put, this is a stunning cabin! There were a total of 7 of us that stayed and we all unanimously vote this cabin and its location as one of the very best in the area. If the majestic surroundings aren't enough, there's also plenty inside to stay entertained. None of us wanted to leave. I'm very thankful for the heads-up on the need for a 4WD/AWD vehicle, which was really only needed for the driveway, nonetheless it was a pro-tip that kept us all safe.

Great cabin
My husband and I and our three kids had a wonderful time in Colorado. It was our first trip there and we really enjoyed it. Thank you Brian and Mary for letting us stay in your gorgeous cabin. We really enjoyed the view and kids loved the Foosball. In the morning , we enjoyed drinking tea in the sunroom and enjoyed the scenery. The house is very clean and well maintained. Thank you Brian for recommending places to visit. All together it was a wonderful trip and we difinately recommend your beautiful cabin to everyone. Thanks again.
Everything about our stay has been wonderful. The house is beautiful and nicely decorated. Lots of fun, quirky decor. The view is peaceful and beautiful. I usually like to try new houses when I travel but we will book this one again.
My family enjoyed our stay so much we're wanting to return again soon. It has everything you want in a Colorado getaway. The house is nestled amongst pine and aspen trees with a meadow allowing for amazing views of some the tallest mountains in CO. The large windows, sun room and spacious balcony are perfect for watching birds or the occasional deer that wander across the meadow. Native plants and wildflowers highlight the property. This owner built home is a true CO jewel.
Wonderful 2 story 'log cabin' home. It’s feels very secluded and has great views.
Kitchen has plenty of cookware/tableware.
Master bedroom is upstairs and ensuite. Second upstairs bedroom/office is small and next to the other upstairs bathroom.
Basement has the other 2 bedrooms (one with full sized washer & dryer), a 3rd full bathroom, and game-room.
If you go in winter, a 4WD vehicle is a must, and you need to be comfortable driving in hardpack snow, inclines, and tight turns.
There is no cell phone service at this location, and the Internet does not support cellular Wi-Fi calls/text (WhatsApp works fine though)
Note that this is the owner’s primary residence, so they might drop by every few days. We are not accustomed to this (when we rent homes). So, if you have children let them know - as an unexpected door knock can be disturbing in a remote mountain location.
The only reason Mary and Brian didn't have to evict us after our 9 day stay was because we had a four legged roommate who had to be picked up from her spa in Ohio before the cost of her stay exceeded ours. In a word: spectacular. This home is special and the views, peace, and quiet have to be seen and not heard to be believed. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Thank you, Mary and Brian, for sharing your wonderful home with us.
This sweet cabin is tucked away off the road with no neighbors in sight. The place was immaculate and decorated in a eclectic style that made us feel at home.
We will definitely stay again!
A beautifully crafted and appointed cabin home to enjoy as part of your vacation. It is not just a place to stay. Brian and his wife have created such a special home AND are willing to share it with us. It virtually lacks nothing. Such a wonderful stay. Thanks for your hospitality.

Why they chose this property
It's incredibly peaceful! It is close to all the activities that we love as well as Breckenridge. In addition, we have a large downstairs rec room with a beautiful pool table and a foos ball table certainly to entertain the kids as well as the adults. A large screen tv center and board games round out our rec. area. The walk-out basement leads out to our stream side fire pit a great for roasting marshmallows and a easy walk down to the valley floor gets you to some great fly fishing and hiking around beaver ponds in the Alma state wild life area.
