Thank you. We loved having you and enjoying our cabin. It is our family's meeting place too, where nature and people coexist peacefully, like the deer resting in the shade of the tree under the kitchen window, looking at me as though she wanted to say 'hi, nice day, isn't it?'
The cabin was amazing! The pictures do not do the property justice. Cozy and clean! Immaculate really! The hosts are awesome and made our family feel right at home. If you are looking for a place to stay, you will not be disappointed!

This is a lovely, well-stocked cabin that had everything we needed. Easy access to mountain bike trails.
We highly recommend.
This was perfect for us. We wanted to make meals, bring family with us to stay and have nearby family gather. The kitchen had everything needed for us to make an Easter dinner. There were many places for hiding Easter treats. We loved walking outside, using the jet tub and sauna. Neighbours were friendly too.
This property was amazing. When we arrived, we found that it was more than expected. It was well stocked with anything that you could ever need. We went in the summer as a family and there was so much to do there with all of us. I could go for a run on the very close hiking trails. My daughter could swim everyday. There were stores, waterfalls, outdoor activities very close so that the whole family could have a great time. Even the neighbours are very friendly, offering their recommendations for great places to visit.
Thank you from my family for such a great vacation.

Thank you, Shauna. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay. We can only agree with your comments, that's why we, too, spend our vacations at the cabin! Erika & Peter
Everything you could ask for…..When you book some places you question what you should bring. This place pretty much had it all. It seemed obvious that the owners used this extensively for themselves as it was just about as well equipped as a place could be… bathroom well stocked, nice bedding, kitchen cabinets full of teas, coffee, herbs and spices. Unless it was something really unique, I can’t imagine they were missing it… even spray cleaner for vegetables and fruit, if you are inclined. Everywhere you looked, cabinets, fridge, there were baskets of everyday items you might need… Coffee machines of many types, air fryer, even a SodaStream, is there anything they didn’t have? Keurig, French Press…Everywhere you look there are little touches that make it feel like home. Well appointed with an interesting personality all of its own, I wish we had had more time to just hang out there! I hope we have the opportunity to come back!

Awesome accommodations for our grown up family of four! Beautiful site and hiking 5 min. away.
We loved the use of the kitchen and bbq as well as fireplace after skiing. The three full baths were great so that our 20 year olds could have their own level for sleeping with bathroom of their own. It was clean and new. It advertised a massage chair and three person hot tub, one person electric sauna. The chair is still not working, and should be taken off the ad. The house doesn't have enough capacity in the hot water tank to fill the tub above the jets. Otherwise we loved the quiet location, 15 min to skiing.

Thank you, Bob, for pointing out that the chair needs to be taken off. I think that some users did not know how to operate it, so it stopped working all together. It has been removed. And for the hot water tank, it was time to replace it (8 years is its lifetime for insurance to be valid) and you'll be happy to know that we replaced it with twice the size of a water tank!

Unfortunately, Partha, when your friends arrived and drove their vehicle into the stone patio, the noise prompted the neighbor to take a look at the damage. He also happened to be the Strata bylaw officer. Very unfortunate incident, indeed. A very costly repair for us!
Coming into the cabin we were greeted by a box of cans, that we disposed of, and a sticky floor, there were food crumbs on the kitchen/dining room floor along with a huge mouse trap, had to empty the dish washer, cigarette butts all over the upper deck from the container, they looked months old. There was so much of the owners belongings it was uncomfortable and cluttered. Over priced for our experience.

Hi Sandi,
Our apologies for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, our cleaner whom we rely on very much has been painfully unreliable and caused this unfortunate incident for you as well. It all ended in her termination, a first for us. We had always had great service and what you experienced is out of the ordinary and unacceptable. We did have to terminate her and are happy to report that all is well again.
As for our "pay it forward" supplies, they are mostly purchased by guests and yes, the kitchen is stocked above and beyond your ordinary rental. Most guests are happy about that. I am sorry it bothered you. We certainly try to please our guests and for the past ten years, it seems to have worked. We do however acknowledge your concerns, which we struggled with as well, and have acted upon.
The location and property was good, only problem there was mice in the rooms, droppings everywhere.
Toilet needs repair, rusty bolts in tank causing a leak which may cause water damage. All cupboards and drawers and closets full, very little room for us.

Sorry to hear that. Pest Control took care of the field mouse that got lost in the house, as soon as we were notified. Closet does have extra bedding and that should also have been taken care of. Sorry for the inconvenience.
We have been enjoying the outdoors that Kimberley offers for over 20 years. It is our sanctuary away from the big city and has all and more that is needed to re-energize on a weekend away from home! During Covid we have been able to enjoy the trails along the river and in the Nature Park, as well as skiing to our hearts' desire! It has made a difficult time so much more endurable if it has not even become an eye opener in finding our preferred way of life!
Why they chose this property
If you are looking for a place that suits everyone's needs, this is an ideal retreat for you. Nestled in the trees among other cabins on a private, quiet street 2.5 km off the main highway, you can enjoy access to the river, the Nature Park, a former railway track-bicycle trail to Cranbrook, the Kimberley Golf course, all right at your doorstep. Or you can step up your adventure and go river rafting, rock climbing, and mountain biking. There is something for everyone!
What makes this property unique
This is your home away from home! We have furnished the cabin for personal living and comfort, beyond what you would get in a rental cabin. The feedback we receive consistently is that the cabin was truly a home away from home!
