Log Cabin Retreat w/ Hot Tub & Mountain Views - Close to Breckenridge

This beautiful log cabin is tucked away on over 8 acres of pure mountain paradise with amazing mountain views of Mt. Sherman and Dyer Mountain. There are 3 separate bedrooms on 3 levels, giving multiple families each their separate space. Enjoy hiking at nearby trails and then retreat back to the cabin for a relaxing night by the outdoor gas fire pit, the cozy wood-burning stove, or in the hot tub.

Make memories in the well equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook a great meal for your crew or enjoy grilling on the expansive deck while you take in the views. Your feet won’t get cold with the in floor radiant heating throughout the kitchen.

The cabin is close to skiing, Pike national forest, world renowned fishing, four wheeling, and all that Colorado has to offer right out your front door. Moose, fox, elk and deer have all been sighted on the property. There is a fox that tends to keep close to the cabin, you will occasionally see him keeping an eye on the property for us.

Make this cabin your home base for all that Breckenridge, Fairplay and Salida have to offer. Breckenridge is just 29 miles and Buena Vista is 44 miles from the cabin. This cabin is just minutes away from the famous gold claim where they filmed season 8 of Gold Rush on the Discovery Channel. Go in to historical Fairplay to take in South Park City, walk the shops in town, or stop in for a great meal at the Brown Burro.

The Cabin is equipped with a pack 'n play and baby gates for your little ones, along with games and toys for all ages. There is room in the loft or rec area if you need more space for airbeds.

The wood burning stove creates a warm cozy evening for you and yours to fully enjoy your peaceful time in the woods. Enjoy a game of pool, darts or gaming in the rec room. At night, be sure to get in some incredible star gazing from the deck with the telescope.

For those of you that need to stay somewhat connected, satellite internet is available. Enjoy TVs on every level, each equipped with ROKU guest mode so you can watch your favorite shows on your streaming accounts while maintaining complete privacy.

The cabin is private and is at 11,000 feet altitude. Guests should be sure to drink plenty of water. 4 wheel drive is highly recommended if you are renting anywhere in the mountains. The cabin is right off a main county road with full plow service.

Perfect Getaway

Absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful, remote, and spacious cabin. From the perfectly maintained hot tub, to the pool table, and the amazing views and location, really could not have asked for a better place to be to unwind and connect with the outdoors. We enjoyed the awesome mountain towns of Fairplay and Alma, where we found great eats and coffee. Found the nearby trails, Pika Trail and Pennsylvania Mtn to be really nice and they are no more than a couple minutes from the cabin. Location was near enough for us to enjoy horseback riding and zip lining near Buena Vista also. A+ hosts and location. Thanks for the stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Valley of the Sun. The cabin was nestled away on a dirt road in the woods, which is exactly what we were looking for! Saw lots of wildlife in the area, moose, goats, chipmunks! Stunning views from the cabin looking directly at the snowcapped mountains was absolutely beautiful. We drove 18 hours straight through on a holiday weekend and the host was more than happy to help us locate a nearby hotel to stay at before our check in date! 10/10 Recommend! <3

And this cabin provides the perfect combination of seclusion (enjoy mountain views and 8 acres of peaceful wilderness) and ski town adventure (only 45 minutes to Breckenridge). Plus - the million dollar mountain views don't hurt! We can't wait for you to experience it.
