Gorgeous Secluded Cabin; Hot Tub; Mtn Views Pike’s Peak on 5 acres; hiking trail
Words do not adequately describe this cabin and the land that it sits on. Let’s just say, it is pretty special. This cabin was built in December 2020 and is located in the beautiful Valley of the Sun, just North of FairPlay and 30 minutes south of the Breckinridge ski resort. Full, unobstructed views of Pike’s Peak from the wrap around deck, surrounded by Pine and Aspen trees, plenty of gorgeous wildlife and not a neighbor in sight on this 5 acre secluded property. The property also boasts it’s very own hiking trail right (Moose Lodge Trail) which allows you to walk the perimeter of the 5 acres (you might even spot Bigfoot ☺️) concluding your hike with some stunning views. Granite and farmhouse sink in the gournet kitchen, with gas stove and breakfast bar. Gas fireplace in the living room, king size bed in Master, queen bed in guest room, then queen over queen size log bunk bed, foosball table, and separate living area for the kids (with an additional gas fireplace). Huge Hot Tub (8ft x 9ft), Fire pit, gas grill, and Pit Boss (smoker) for your outdoor entertainment. 2 car attached, finished garage (one slot available) with plenty of additional parking in the driveway. The acreage is simply stunning and serene. Lots of places to hike right near the property and unexpected adventures abound. There is even a sledding hill right on the property. Wonderful getaway for multiple families where memories will sure to be made. Additional discount off nightly rate for military members/first responders **excluding holidays. This is our second property in Valley of the Sun...if this one is booked check out VRBO #1184392 for other available dates.

We had a great stay at the Moose Lodge! The cabin is beautiful and was very well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Carrie and Bill were excellent hosts and responded right away to our question about the hot tub. Highly recommend the Moose Lodge!
Another fantastic stay at this property! Rooms are clean and perfect with comfortable beds and amenities (fans, humidifiers). Bathrooms are clean and come with everything you need. An outstanding well-appointed and fully-equipped kitchen. We made homemade pasta with the Kitchenaid (brought our own pasta attachments.) Our last stay we used the PitBoss smoker and grill to make ribs. The hot tub was perfect for starry nights and plenty of games to be played indoors.
This was the perfect home for our family trip. It has everything you need for staying in and relaxing or heading out and exploring the area. The location is great, we got to all of the destinations we wanted to see without too long of a drive. The Moose Trail on the property is very cool and was a great way for those of us not used to the elevation to see if we were ready for tougher hike….we weren’t on day 1…whew! The cleanliness and owner communication of this property are top notch. We highly recommend and would absolutely book again!!
We loved our stay at this cabin! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful getaway in the woods of Colorado! We visited during the winter and hoping to come back during the summer as well.
We loved staying in this beautiful home. The house was fully stocked with basic needs and kitchen appliances. It was super clean and well maintained. The cabin has a 5 acre lot with several trails to explore and out of this world views. The owners were very helpful and responsive to questions.
We highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a relaxing quiet stay!
Thank You,

This property is in the perfect location.
Amazing views and privacy while only a few minutes from fairplay and easy drive to Breckenridge.
The hosts are awesome and very helpful.
The property description and pictures are very accurate.
As a family of 5 we had plenty of room. The hot tub is huge.
The kitchen had everything we needed for the week. The gas grill and pellet smoker are a plus.
We would stay here again in the future without hesitation.
Highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed.
This cabin was better than the pictures and description! This was our second time renting from Carrie & Bill. (Two different cabins) This year was just perfect in every way! There were 6 of us (three couples) and there was more than enough of everything! This place was perfect for relaxing by the fire in the morning or evening, sitting out on the deck with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, taking a peaceful walk or a challenging hike on the nearby trails. Everything was just perfect!
Communication was always fast and easy. We love the town of Fairplay but you're also so close to Breckenridge or Buena Vista for a different pace. We got back home last night and we are already looking forward to our next trip!
The Moose Lodge was a beautiful get away! We only spent 2 nights, but felt very refreshed on our departure, due to the relaxing amenities the property provides. It was everything we had hoped for: excluded in the trees with a walking trail and lovely/clean interior with all the comforts of home, plus some! Fireplace was amazing and cozy! The hot tub was SUPER clean and spacious! We enjoyed it both nights among the stars:) Beds were very comfortable, as well. The hosts were very friendly and responsive to any questions we had and the check in and out was straight forward and easy. Hopefully, we can stay there again some day!!
The cabin fit our family needs perfectly, just about anything you would need to prepare a meal is at your use. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and games that were available. Not to mention it's a fairly short drive to Breckenridge for the restaurant and shopping environment.
The cabin was as advertised and the communication was great!!! We enjoyed hiking during the day and relaxing in the evening play games as a family and sitting in the hot tub. We will definitely be back next year.
The pictures do not do this home justice. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The hosts put tremendous love and effort into making this space welcoming, paying attention to all the little details. This will be our place to unplug and reset. I've already shared it with my coworkers.
Absolutely gorgeous . Very well kept cabin which had absolutely everything for everyone . Hot tub was amazing and got to enjoy it under a small snow storm which was on my bucket list :) Thanks again for helping making it a wonderful spring break vacation with the family !!
My wife and I had a really amazing time. We enjoyed hiking at Sapphire Point and having lunch together in Breckenridge at a cute, private tavern. We absolutely enjoyed the hot tub with the view of the mountains and using the grill to make dinner together every night. The popcorn machine was adorable and perfect for a romantic movie night by the fireplace. It was perfect and everything we could’ve imagined for our first time in a cabin and on our honeymoon!
Cabin is exactly as pictured. Beautiful property and view. Master bed is comfortable - didn’t try any of the other beds. Everything you can think of needing is at the property. A couple of good restaurants close in FairPlay. An hour to Breckenridge and 2 hours from Denver. 4wd is needed in the snow to get up the driveway.
I booked this cabin for my wife's 40th birthday. I can't say enough about the cleanliness, beautiful views & overall amazing stay. The cabin is better than pictured & has so many unique details, you'll feel right at home. From the bedroom to the kitchen, the cabin is COMPLETELY stocked with everything you'll need for your stay. The hot tub was VERY clean & the mountain views....WOW!!! Due to the 11k foot elevation, I HIGHLY suggest getting a personal oxygen can & staying hydrated so you can enjoy your stay to the fullest. My wife had an amazing birthday & we've already discussed booking again for a future family vacation! A
Sledding, hot tub, popcorn, smoked steaks (great butcher in town), grilled, played games that we haven’t played since we were all kids, foosball, walked the trail, Sunday funday in Jammie’s…..I could go on! This cabin is in the mountains and I strongly recommend Boosting & saline! We stopped at a Walmart on the way in and stocked up but did shop at Prather’s which is limited. Thank you Carrie & Bill for sharing your slice of heaven!
We enjoyed the stay very much. The hosts were excellent and the property was wonderful. Would stay again

About the host
Hosted by Carrie and Bill
Bill is a retired Air Force Communications Officer and now works for the Department of Labor. Carrie is currently Active Duty Air Force. We love all things outdoors: hiking, mountain biking, skiing, ATVing, snowmobiling, and just plain being together with our 3 teenagers.
Why they chose this property
We simply love this area and hope to retire here some day. We wanted a property that was secluded with views that we could make memories at with our three children. We also wanted a property that was close to Breckinridge for skiing/snowmobiling and close to Buena Vista for fishing, ATVing, and white water rafting. This property is right in the middle.
What makes this property unique
Secluded, beautiful unobstructed views of Pike's Peak, all the amenities, easy access to town. We think this place is pretty special and look forward to sharing it with you.
