I'm so glad we found this place its very beautiful cabin and has everything for a large family or multiple. Location is very good, peaceful and the wrap.around deck is amazing. We are definitely coming back whenever we are in the area.
We had a wonderful stay. Cabin is beautiful and well laid out for a large family. The wrap around deck is a great outdoor space. Would love to visit again.
Our 15 member Family had a wonderful Thanksgiving in this home. The home accommodated us well with plenty of room for various family activities. Our grandkids (and their parents and grandparents) enjoyed hiking the trails and climbing up the mountains. There were a few minor inconveniences (poor water pressure with more than one bathroom going and a 1 rack oven that made Thanksgiving meal a challenge), but overall very pleased with the house and location.
Property was at the end of the road and secluded. It was quiet. Never saw anyone else area. Quiet and peaceful. Property was clean and neat. The large sectional couch in the bottom floor had a broken frame member that needed fixing and some of the windows were difficult lock back. One television in middle floor bedroom made a zapping sound at the outlet. We notified Mike the property manager when he came to help us with a grill problem. Mike responded to the property within 15 minutes to help and was very helpful and informative.

Thank you for your review and feedback! We did narrow down the problem with the bedroom t.v. as the extension cord. We replaced and problem was solved.

Could use improvements
Listed amenities were not there - no xbox, no game cube, one broken rocker. Hot tub had no chlorine, mildew smell. Air conditioner only cooled the lower level, upper bedrooms were very warm and hard to sleep in. Firepit had only one seat. Wasp nest on back deck. Only 6 forks. Had to wash dishes frequently.

We strive to give our guests the best and welcome your review. 90% of the mountain does not have a/c, our temps seldom reach higher than 75 and at night dropping into the 50-60's, ceiling fans with windows open cools cabin quickly. We are one of the few that have A/C on lower level. Additional forks will be replaced, and wasp nest removed from deck. Hot tub is serviced after each use, I believe the smell was from the hot tub cover... new one has been ordered. We have 8 chairs in the garage for firepit use, can't keep them out due to high winds on the mountain. Hope this information was helpful !

AWESOME!!!!!
The cabin was wonderful. We were a family of 10.... 6 adults and 4 children and the cabin was perfect!! Layout, decoration, location and accommodation were all spot on! The description on the website does not do this place justice. As good as it looks... it’s actually better. We would have liked to have had a little more seating for the porch to enjoy the outdoors, but for a house this size and a family as big as we had that was a minor issue. Owners answered the few questions we had immediately! Can not say enough about this cabin!
The owners had warned us of bear sitings and told us to not leave food out. We listened and thought we had that covered, but on the first night our 5 year old grandson had gotten car sick as we were winding around the curvy mountain. When we got to the house we had to clean him and the car up. Apparently the car still had an odor because at 12:30 am we heard something on the porch and sure enough there were 3 bear cubs and a mama bear outside. Although a little scary our 4 grandchildren will NEVER forget this true mountain experience. Plan to book next year!

Family Trip in the Woods. Beware of Bears
Overall the trip was a success. We were disappointed about not having electricity in the main sitting room. We were not able to enjoy the fireplace which we were looking forward too. We were told the day we were traveling to the place that they were having an electrical problem in that room and had plugged extension cords into pole lamps for lights. We had to unplug lights to use A/C and did not have enough cords to plug up fireplace. It also would have been nice to know that Bears were close around the house on porches, etc. Even though we know that bears do live in the woods it made us a bit nervous especially with children in the group. Games that were there were not usable. Pool sticks broken. Lots of cobwebs in house and thick dust on fan over table. In my opinion furniture in downstairs needs replaced. For the price paid I was expecting the place to have been cleaner with everything working.

While we always appreciate feedback and we do listen… we discovered the breaker tripping just prior to your check in and relayed that to you. I would imagine that a guest would appreciate us going out of our way to temporarily remedy the situation rather than cancel at the last minute and disrupt your trip. We did everything possible to try and fix immediately including switching out a light switch within the couple of hours that we had prior to your arrival. It ended up being the ceiling fan that was causing the breaker to trip when an electrician arrived after your stay. Not sure about the need for a fireplace and air condition in the same room most places in Beech Mountain don’t even offer air condition. 😳Family trip in the woods… Secluded cabin…Bears?!? 😐 It is impossible for all the provided board games to be monitored between stays for missing components, therefore, we will remove all games to prevent future disappointments. Where’s the mention of the kids splashing all of the water out of the hot tub on your first night and we responded immediately to your message the next day sending someone out to have that taken care of?? What about the note asking you to do a walk through upon arrival and let us know if anything was unacceptable & we would be their ASAP but we heard nothing except needing water in the hot tub until now….reading this review. Best wishes!!
This house is comfortable and it does have a lot of sleeping and hanging-out options, making it a good option for a large group and/or a group with kids. (It also has ample space for parking multiple vehicles. And lots of bathrooms!) It was nothing fancy, but it was spacious, and the kitchen and dining area worked well for us to cook one meal (our check-in instructions advised us to bring a lot of stuff with us, including dish soap and salt and pepper). My only complaints would be that there were some bugs in the sinks and one bathtub when we checked in (but you are in the middle of the woods), it was FREEZING (like, the heat was off and it was 30 degrees outside) when we checked in, there were some items (from prior guests???) such as men's jeans and socks on the floor in one of the rooms (just made us question the cleaning crew), and the upstairs loft area made it SUPER loud for those staying in the room directly below it. (Just don't set up your sleeping baby in there, as I did. Every foot step or even pin drop from above sounded like a stomp.) Also, I would advise those with kids to bring some DVDs because there weren't a lot of options for kids and we had some trouble with the TV (also it has limited channels when it was working). But I don't think these were anything too troublesome; just giving a heads up for the owner and future renters. Overall, it was a very good experience for us!

August 3 - 5 Weekend Getaway
To start, Laura was awesome to work with. She was prompt and got our payment taken care of easily and quickly. She was available by text, and responded immediately. Upon arriving, the house is a little off the beaten path, which we LOVED. The scenery was lovely, and after the rain we've had, everything was so green and lush. The first thing we noticed was the size. It was HUGE! That was definitely a plus for us. After finding our bedroom, and unpacking the truck, we noticed mouse droppings through out the house (especially in the kitchen and master bedroom/bathroom) - which we found unusual because we were told another couple was leaving that same morning, and that the cleaning folks would be there to clean everything that afternoon. The house was generally very shabby, and not very well maintained. Not that it really matters, but the decor was very dated, and a little creepy. Lots of dusty, fake flower arrangements, and weird, stuffed animals. Not the high end over all appearance we had expected for the rental rate. The blankets/comforters were very worn, and smelled musty, the couch pillows were stained, and we read in the cabin instructions that blankets, shams, and comforters are NOT to be stripped after use. (YUCK!) The hot tub was old, and dirty because the cover on it was actually split in two. There were bugs, and tiny pieces of styrofoam floating in it. We didn't even get in it, which was a disappointment because that is one of our favorite ways to unwind on vacation. We were not able to use the pool table downstairs, because all of the pool sticks were either broken or missing tips. Again, another disappointment because that was one of our "must haves" for a property. There were a handful of yellow jackets on the main level that we had to kill, perhaps from the cleaning crew leaving the door open? The house was VERY warm, even with the windows open. Only one window in the master bedroom had a screen, so it was probably warmer than it would have been with 2 windows open.
We do not get to go on many vacations because of our hectic job schedules, and when we spend just under $1000.00 of our hard earned money, on 2 nights away, we really expect a lot more. I am sad to leave this review, but would hate for someone else to make the same mistake we did.

I am very sorry that we did not meet your expectations. We strive very hard to keep the cabin maintained and enjoyable for guests to use and have had 95% favorable reviews. I will try to address your comments. We do not or like any other rental property wash big heavy comforters after each use, that is why we ask not to put them with used linens. We wash them on a regular basis as needed. The hot tub had a tear in the cover and has been on order and takes approx. 5 weeks to replace. It is serviced after each use and due to the tear the foam must have broken loose and gotten into the tub. Unfortunately mouse droppings are common in the mountains, we have rodent deterrents but impossible to deter every one, same with yellow jackets. 90% of cabins do not have a/c on Beech Mt. With temps dropping into the 60's at night will cool off the cabin nicely. I was not aware that 2 screens were missing and will replace for sure. Our rustic decor including stuffed fun whimsical bears is very typical in the mountains. Sorry you did not care for this. The $295 rate per night for two people may seem like alot but please keep in mind this is a large cabin (over 3,000 sq. ft. ) accommodating up to 14 guests and if 2 or 3 families split the cost, it is very affordable. Thank you for your comments and hope this has cleared up some of your viewpoints.
Everything was wonderful. The Cabin, the host, location....everything. we had everything we needed, cabin so spacious. We never made it to bottom floor except for laundry. Host was always available and so kind. Finished the trip eating at Holy Smokes BBQ and the food was the best. No complaints or suggestions.
The house met our needs. It was sparsely decorated but that was fine for our group. The couches were in need of replacement but owner left a note to that effect and they are on order. The only thing we needed was more towels. I advise you to pack more.
This cabin was the perfect spot to celebrate my dad's 80th. Great for kids and adults alike- we felt like we had room to spread out, but also spend quality time together. We will definitely rent again in the future!
Nice cabin, my family and friends enjoyed it very much. The view is beautiful in the morning, quite spacious, the kitchen is very well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub too. Very nice to walk outside. We were able to enjoy the deer from the porch .I recommend it 100%.
I wish I had words to describe how beautiful this cabin and its surroundings were. Everything was perfect. Laura, the owner was very helpful with anything she thought would make our trip better. The cabin was cozy and location was to die for. And those blankets on the beds, we all are trying to figure out how to get our own lol. We will definitely be coming back to this beautiful place. Our highlight was seeing a bear when we looked outside. It was amazing to experience. Thank you again Laura, our trip was worth every penny!!
Very quiet, children were able to go outside and play, and not have to worry disturbing neighbors and worrying about vehicles on the street. Loved the secluded place. Only concern was phone reception, just in case of emergency. We would consider renting again.
First the property was beautiful, the house was gorgeous and spacious. Everyone having their own bathroom was great. The family room and what we referred to as playroom was wonderful. Kids played safely downstairs while adults played pool, watched TV downstairs or were able to do things upstairs away from playing noise. The property manager, Trish was so kind and considerate, went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Mike answered calls of concern as soon as we made them, which were very minor, but his promptness was greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend this home, especially to families. And if you like to see deer in their natural habitat, Owl Circle is the place to be.

Thanks Terri!! Upgrades this week included a new fireplace insert and screen, new living room ceiling fan, new kitchen faucet, & new kitchen light over the island. Hope to see you again in the future.
A great getaway in the mountains! The house was perfect for our girls weekend with plenty of room for everyone. Loved the location. It is out of the way without being too remote. Directions to the house were exceptional. No problems came up, all we had to do was sit back and enjoy.
The first three words out of everyone's mouth were, "WOW! WOW! WOW!" The pictures on this site do not do this home justice. I expected a rustic but comfortable cabin but it was so much more than that. It was immaculate, inviting, peaceful, and beautiful! We will never forget our time in your home. Thank you for your hospitality! We hope to return soon.
This was a very beautiful, spacious, comfortable mountain home, with plenty of space for our 2 families. It was close to a lot of fun activities, but still quite secluded. The hot tub was great, and the deck really lovely and large. Minor issues- not enough towels or dish towels, and a kitchen missing some essentials- but overall a wonderful experience!
We are Larry, Laura and Selleck Watren and live in Lake Mary, Florida. It was love at first sight when we drove through Beech Mountain last December. The snow was spectacular hanging on the huge evergreen trees, it was like a winter wonderland. I couldn't stop taking pictures, one scene was better than the next. Soon we found ourself at the real estate office looking at properties, I guess the rest is history. Just when I thought, things couldn't get any prettier than that, FALL came and whew, now I think that's my favorite time up there. Anytime, any season, you will thoroughly enjoy this beautiful place called Beech Mountain.
Why they chose this property
