Built in the roaring 1920's, this quaint English Cottage is a unique revival period home in downtown Phoenix's hip Coronado neighborhood. The Cat's Fiddle has always been a haven for artists and art lovers, and now it's your turn to enjoy it's quirky charm. Decorated in the inviting cottage style that inspired it's architecture, you'll find yourself surrounded by old world comfort and character with modern amenities- just minutes away from everything downtown Phoenix has to offer.
The space
Bright and cozy, the cottage has maintained it's orginal footprint since it was built in 1925. It is just under a 1000 square feet but feels spacious. There is a living room with a smart tv and comfortable seating. A full kitchen and eating nook. Full bathroom with tub. Two bedrooms to choose from, the Sporting Room and the Garden Room, both with their own character. Original oak hardwood floors throughout. Being a proper English cottage, there are many books for you to peruse and a selection of games for adults and children. The backyard is private and fully fenced.
Guest access
You and your guests will have access to the front yard and hedge lined private front porch, the entire interior of the cottage, and fenced 'desert garden' backyard. Feel free to enjoy all the seating and conversation areas- including the covered gazebo that provides shade during day and has a relaxing low light ambiance for evenings. The two outbuildings on the property are simply used for storage and are locked, but do add a colorful flair to backyard space.
Other things to note
Please keep in mind-
*The bedrooms have one queen size bed and one full size (or double) bed. The full bed is smaller than a queen so, while it does sleep two, it is a snuggly two.
*There is no dishwasher at the cottage. We provide all sorts of cups and dishes, including paper plates, but a quick handwash will be needed when using most of the kitchenware.
