Super location and fun stay

We loved staying on the Ranch. Since we love the outdoors, we enjoyed cooking and being outside. The host was super responsive and we loved the location. Thank you!

The ranch is in a beautiful and unique setting, and the vintage Spartan has an old-fashioned, eclectic charm. Unfortunately, the condition and cleanliness of the trailer fell short of our expectations. The refrigerator was not working, which the host disclosed beforehand and asked us to bring ice to use it as an ice box. As the ice melted, there was nowhere for the water to drain, leaving standing water inside and overflowing to the floor. It was adequate for drinks but not practical for safely storing meats, perishables, or leftovers. There were visible signs of water damage from the roof and around the trailer. The shower-area window was broken, with an older-looking note instructing guests not to touch it because it was being repaired. The vents throughout the trailer were packed with dirt and soot, and we encountered numerous spiders and cobwebs. The rooftop A/C did work well and kept the trailer cool. The bed was an older spring mattress that, in our opinion, has seen better days. Limited towels as well given we used towels for the ice melt cleanup.Overall, this is a very rustic, vintage/bohemian experience that may appeal to someone specifically looking for that atmosphere. We expected an older trailer and weren't looking for a modern hotel, but there is a difference between vintage character and deferred maintenance or cleanliness issues. The property and Kernville area are beautiful, but we would not return to this particular accommodation.

This property was perfect for my wife and I, as we like nature, hiking and small communities. The Whiskey Flats Days Festival was fun. As hikers we enjoyed the walk to the village and all it had to offer. The 1956 Spartan was as we expected and fun to experience. All in all we really enjoyed our stay.

The Spartan trailer was 1955 error no gas but had electricity had a gas griddle barbecue style outside on a big redwood porch. Not too far from town walkable within 15-20 minutes. 5 acres spread horses hot tub and someone to communicate with if you need be. Very quiet. Where we stayed there was other properties to rent much bigger and more modern on the same address. Thing to think about is it was a great stay quiet relaxation for the weekend that we needed it for I appreciate all the combinations that we had for me not one bad thing happened or occurred. Thank you to the people of of kernville ranch.

Very peaceful and quiet at the property and only a 10 minute walk into town. Stargazing on the wood deck was amazing!
