Couldn't get into the property

Came to SLC for my daughter's graduation from the U. We wanted to be together as a family, which is why we rented a house instead of getting a hotel. Got an email from the property management saying entry code was in a previous message, but that message was never sent. Called the manager listed on the property who said he was no longer managing and would send my info to the hosts. Then he wouldn't answer any of my texts. Called VRBO. They were very nice, but I spent the next hour and a half on the phone trying to work out other accomodations while having dinner with my family. They put us up in a hotel for the night, but there wasn't room for my daughter or her friend who'd planned to stay with us. VRBO also couldn't guarantee we'd be able to stay at the hotel the following night, even though we'd booked 2 nights at the property. I had to call back in the morning to find out. Spent another half hour on the phone without getting an answer. This meant we had to pack up before going to the 9 am graduation. I called VRBO after the ceremony. After another hour and a half on the phone, I was told we would be refunded for the trip but we were on our own for that night's accomodations. Then spent another hour trying to find a place to stay. Needless to say, I would not recommend this property. The hosts weren't reachable via email or phone for the entire weekend. And while everyone we spoke to at VRBO was helpful, I lost a lot of family time waiting on hold. Won't use VRBO again.
