If you need a base camp to fish Eagle Lake or a place to get away from it all and relax or a sunrise beyond belief, this is the place. You will want for nothing at this wonderful camp.
Thank you, Bim. We appreciated your return visit! I wish I could have made the weather better and the fish bite more, but you are a great sport anyway! Look forward to future visits!
I can’t express how wonderful my vacation was. The location was perfect. The house was cozy. The owners were amazing and treated us like family. I highly recommend this VRBO. I will be making this an annual trip.

From the moment you arrive you know what a special place it is. The pictures do not do it justice...it is one of those situations where the place is actually prettier than the pictures. You will not be disappointed. The hosts are excellent, super friendly and very easy to communicate with. The house is cozy, warm and well equipped, and the location is just amazing. We will definitely go back!
We had a wonderful experience. Great location close to grocery and live bait. When we arrived everything looked great. Check in procedure was easy and communication was excellent. Internet wasn’t working when we arrived, likely weather related from high winds and bad weather the previous day. I contacted the host and she promptly got ahold of the service provider and got the issue resolved quickly. We got hit with 18 inches of snow the night before leaving. Again, communication was great and the yard was cleaned out in a timely manner. Will look to stay again in the future!!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Beautiful location
Pros:
• Beautiful location
• Helpful hosts
• Well Stocked Kitchen
Cons (many of the items below were undisclosed prior to renting)
• Smell of water (being fixed)
• Portion of rear deck roped off with construction tape
• Structural defects in front steps not repaired
• Request for additional waiver of liability
• Request that renters take own trash out
• Living room not set up to highlight lake
• VERY narrow staircase up to loft.
• Less than toddler size door height between loft bedrooms
• Ladder to loft bedroom in corner of living room and doesn’t look like it would support more than a toddler’s weight.
Of note: Did share all of the above with the hosts prior to this post. Initially they were receptive, then became defensive. We felt like all of the undisclosed items should have been prior to renting. Pictures posted at the time of our rental did not show the areas we were unable to use or were in need of repair, nor explain the addtl liability request and request for renters to dispose of their own trash.
I did not intend to write a review-especially after sharing the above with the hosts- but the defensive response and lack of prior disclosure made me uncomfortable.

We did apologize for anything that you were unhappy about. We were more shocked (than defensive) at the negative feedback as we have been renting for 2 years now and had no complaints about our camp aside from the smell of the water. In fact, we have had very positive feedback from everyone. We always provided ample drinking water for guests and had someone bring you extra water to use for your hair, etc to try to accommodate. We have since installed a water filtration system so that is fixed. We do disclose in our listing that it is a low loft more for kids. The ladder in the living room is steel so I am sure could hold significant weight. We do ask that people take the trash if they can, but also shared it is fine to leave it if not as we are aware that not everyone is able to do so. That is clear on the posted rules in the camp. The front steps have been fine for use, they are solid. In terms of the deck, we have blocked off a small portion at the end in an abundance of caution until fixed (we walk on it fine, but will need to fix a few boards), but at least 80% of the deck was fully available.
