We stayed here as the "get ready house" for my daughter's wedding and it was perfect! The wedding photographer could not get over the beauty of the setting along the river and the photo-ops in the house...10/10!
We loved the property for the house, view and location. We would come to the area from Florida again just to stay here!

Beautiful Location, Comfortable House
Wow, what a beautiful location in the woods on the banks of the Sandy River. From the shaded deck we watched bald eagles, osprey, ducks, and even a deer swimming in the river. We enjoyed swimming in the river and watching the lazy rafters floating by on a summer day. The house was very clean. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had what we needed to cook for all 9 of us. There were plenty of towels, including towels for outdoor use. A beautiful spot to spend some time.
Wow, what a lovely setting, right on the Sandy River in the forest. We enjoyed watching bald eagles, osprey, ducks, and even a deer swimming across the river all from the wonderful shady deck. We enjoyed swimming in the river, and watching the lazy rafters drifting past. Nine of us converged to attend a family wedding that happened to be within a mile of this lovely house. The house was very clean, modern, simply decorated. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had all we needed to cook for our big group.
We were able to get to all the highlights of the Columbia River Gorge and Portland. Serene and spotless. Great communication with host. Relaxing and fun for the whole family!
Great cozy warm home, clean and minimalistic feel to the home, one thing i would like to be better is the lake/water access, was pretty hard to get down and up from the path, otherwise everything was perfect

Nice location. Cooking and kitchen ware not adequate for 11. Took one day to gear place up
Ceiling fans didn’t work and there was no privacy curtain for the primary bedroom, the yard And front entry were a little wonky. But over all the house was well appointed and clean. We enjoyed our stay.
My family enjoyed our stay at this serene home located right on the Sandy river. Wooded and private yet conveniently close to town for supplies and amenities within 10 min. House is light and bright, recently remodeled and well decorated. There is plenty of space for everyone. Plenty of towels, linens, fully stocked kitchen and laundry available to use during our stay. We enjoyed evenings in the hot tub and coffee in the mornings on the deck overlooking at the river.
My friends and I came at the best time to see the amazing fall foliage in the Portland area. We had the BEST view of the leaves changing and the serene river out on the balcony patio of this beautiful home. I would look out from their huge windows to see the pretty trees and feel instantly relaxed. The home was comfortable, modern and clean. We enjoyed being close enough to Portland for our adventures but far enough to feel like we were in nature and away from city life. Multnomah Falls was close by which was a plus! Would love to stay here again and bring my family next time!
The photos for this property were incredibly misleading. Upon arrival, we found the place to be dirty, cold, and thoroughly uncomfortable. The heater wasn't working, lights flickered constantly, and there was even a live wire exposed in the bathroom – a huge safety concern, especially with kids.Beyond that, the issues piled up: ants were in almost every room, the coat rack fell apart, and the bathroom faucet was broken. Walls were stained, floors had cracks that cut our feet, and the kitchen counter was messy. The garage door was off its tracks and the garage itself was filthy, making for a terrible first impression as the main entrance. Even the hot tub had such a horrible smell we couldn't use it.The property feels like it only gets the bare minimum cleaning. The owners clearly aren't bothering to verify the place matches the beautiful pictures or is actually fit for guests. There were so many broken and dirty things. The amount my family and I paid for two nights here, considering the state of the place, feels like a complete scam. I absolutely do not recommend this property; it's truly unbelievable.
Our group was there for a working meeting and utilized the downstairs bedroom/living room for our meeting. We spent a great deal of time on the patio, which was very relaxing. The home had everything we needed and we cooked at home twice.
Some things to know about this property:
*Check in instructions arrived the day before the trip. I was getting a bit nervous since my group was arriving separately and were reaching out to me about details.
*When you arrive, the home is straight ahead on the left. We didn't immediately know which one it was.
*The home has a pretty strong musty smell, perhaps from pets.
*The bedroom with the bunk beds is also a living room. It is downstairs from the main floor. No door for privacy and is also loud when people are walking around upstairs.
*The master bedroom had sheer curtains, so best to bring an eye mask if you prefer a room that's darker.
*The home is located in the flight path of the airport so there was quite a bit of air traffic.
As a vacation rental owner myself, I understand the value of a 5 star review. I hesitated leaving a 4 star review particularly because the host asked me not to leave a review if it was not going to be 5 stars (and to be messaged privately instead). It was a nice property and met our needs, but we each agreed it was 4 stars, all things considered (the smell was the biggest deal for us).
