Overall I really liked our stay. The woodsy sounds at night we’re awesome! The keypad door entrance is great! Super easy to use! My husband wasn’t thrilled with the two track road leading to the house and how difficult it was to park/turn around our F350. It’s a very big truck.

Terrible experience
Location is indeed peaceful on the Niangua River, if you ignore the incessant barking of the neighbor's dog. Road was rough as advertised which I get, but the numerous branches hanging over the road scratching the vehicle should be trimmed. Only 2 parking spaces which would have been fine, but my son in law had a family emergency come up and couldn't come down until late Friday night which necessitated parking in a rocky area on the side of the road to avoid blocking the driveway. We ended up shuttling the third vehicle into town and leaving it in a parking lot. Arrived to discover that the water is not potable, can neither drink nor cook with it. Opened the blinds onto the deck to discover that the several of the panels had been taped in place and fell off throughout our stay. Toilet seat in master bath is about to fall off. Spent the weekend killing bugs and spiders throughout the house. I realize it is in the country, but I live in the country and exterminators work in the country as well. Only half a roll of paper towels and an old, nearly empty salt and pepper shaker in the kitchen. For the price, these items should have been provided. Other than utensils, plates, cups, and pots the kitchen was bare. We had to buy paper towels, trash bags, a plunger, and several other items that have been provided at every other Vrbo we've been at. Final straw was entering the bathroom our last morning to see a large mouse walking around. We just grabbed out stuff and left.
