On the beach!!!! The garden gate opens to the beach - and what a wonderful swimming beach it is! Low waves making swimming easy, water temperature is perfect for spending as much time in the water as you want. To eat out on the beach, walk 4 minutes south on the beach (or the road) where there is a restaurant/bar and a food truck - both have great food and decent prices. Also a great place to swim.Walk north on the beach for slightly over half an hour to see the "Seafloor Sculptures" on a rocky area at the end of the beach. For groceries, you can walk or drive about 800m/0.5mile inland along Brighton Road to A1 Supermarkets which is a fairly large grocery store with reasonable prices. More details about the apartment itself: its small, and basic, but clean and comfortable. Has a kitchenette (I usually had breakfast and dinner at the apartment), its own bathroom, TV (I didn't use it - seems to be internet connected), small terrace area in the direction of the beach (great to have dinner watching the sunset), excellent Wifi, parking, and air conditioner. The air conditioner really is a must have given the temperatures in Barbados. I was glad I didn't choose a different place that advertised a fan but no AC. One note about the bed - I think it would be classified as a Full (Double) bed, perfect for 1 person, perhaps a bit cozy for 2 depending on how big you are! Would I stay here again? A resounding yes! Also a perfect location for exploring the island.
