About this property

Luxury River House in Texas Hill Country

(NO outdoor burning is allowed in Bernet county.) Rare to find 4,000 sf luxury home with private access to Colorado River, and beautiful hiking trails. The 6 bedrooms can easily host 16+ people, perfect for family reunion and other events. Remote work is easy with a home office and Starlink high speed internet. This 6-acre property is located at the end of the road protected with a private gate, very peaceful and quiet, only about 10 minutes to downtown Marble Falls, and within less than one hour drive time from most Austin areas.

It is a two-stories beautiful house with covered patios surrounding the whole house.

Upper story: one master bedroom and one extra room with individual bathrooms and closets; fully equipped kitchen with basic cooking devices, air fryer and Breville Expresso Machine; high-ceiling spacious living room with river-view dinning area, sofa and smart TV; one extra half-bath.

Lower story: three bedrooms; one shared bathroom; one closed door office with adjustable table, Herman Miller ergo chair, LED monitors and extension cables; living area with Pingpong Table, sofa and coffee table; laundry room with washer, dryer, detergents and laundry bags. Guest room above garage: ONLY available for a group with more than 8 people.
Outdoor: patio with dinning furnitures, fire pits with cast iron chairs. Access to Colorado river with a shared boating deck (or small trails). A short trail leads to a small island surrounded by Sycamore Creek.

Others: Two Kayaks underneath the small tree house can be used at your own risks. Limited amount of life vests are available in the laundry room.

Guests can have access to the whole property. The only exception is a small closet in the bathroom of the second bedroom on the second floor, where the owners use as personal stuff storage. The door of that closet is usually locked.

Bug sprays are usually provided for adults. Please bring your own supply for kids if you prefer specific brands.
Weeds like thistles are part of Texas Hill Country. We suggest you to wear boots while walking outside, especially for kids. Thistles produce spiky seeds that can stick underneath shoes. You want to clear them off on the door mats so you won't get hurt indoor with bare foot. Sometimes it's difficult to have kids wearing shoes inside the house, all of us as parents know :).

Wild animals visit the property very often. Please keep the little kids in sight all the time. Please make sure to keep pets indoor at night. Hogs and coyotes are around. Donkeys and sheep from the neighbors may visit also. They are very friendly.

This neighborhood is very quiet and friendly. Neighbors raise horses, Lammas, donkeys, sheep, and sometimes Zebras. Most neighbors know each other well and are willing to help in emergency.

Downtown Marble Falls (10 minutes): all the convenient stores (HEB, Walmart, Lowes etc);

Local restaurants, including the famous Bluebonnet Cafe, The Real New Orleans Style Restaurant (our favorite) and coffee shops (Numinous Coffee Roasters, Mojo Coffee)

Sweet Berry Farm (20 minutes): activities for kids such as strawberry pickup, pony horse riding, and much more.

Horseshoe Bay (25 minutes): golf courses, hotel and resort, and water sports

Great get-away!

We stayed here with friends and family for several nights. It was right on the river so easy to walk down and access the water. The house was large so everyone was very comfortable. The owner was very responsive when we needed something or had questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Property

My stay here was amazing! My family and friends loved the property and the home. It was very spacious, clean and felt like home. The owners were very communicative and helped out with anything needed. The house is located on a large property for nice walks and has access to the beautiful river. I would highly recommend this property to any large group for a great place that feels just like home.

Very spacious

Very clean and spacious house that sits on the Colorado river. We traveled with a group of friends and family, 10 of us total. We had a great time! Jian was great with communication and was very quick to respond. He even arranged to ship back a few items we left. We would definitely stay here again.

Great family reunion place

This is a terrific place to bring the family for a reunion or get away. We mainly relaxed, played ping pong, had a fire in the fire pit for s’mores, and played in the shallow river. One thing that isn’t mentioned in the details is that the bunk room is over the detached garage, separate from the main house. It’s connected by a balcony bridge, and it was great for sending kid noise out of the main space. We definitely recommend and would come and stay again.

Great place for Family "camp out"

This property is spacious, beautiful, with many amenities. The twin beds are located above the garage and are handy for a dorm situation. The other bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. The kitchen is wonderful but do keep in mind, it is located upstairs. There is a large refrigerator downstairs which was handy for soft drinks, etc. The river is within walking distance but due to unprecedented heat and lower rainfall, it was too low for kayaking. The host is very kind and responsive.
