Host has taken a lot of care to upgrade this older property. The apartment is in the basement and as noted the stairs are very steep. There is also a step to the bathroom and the bathroom is located away from the bedroom that may be an issue for some.The lighting in the kitchen was not good but we thought the overhead light may have a burnt out bulb. Stove and washer needed some cleaning but that was being taken care of when we had to return to the property for a left item. The rooms are colorful and comfortable. For a last minute stay to get out of the rain it was comfortable and conveniently located to grocery stores and shops.
