Menehune Shores #422 is a beautiful unit with a gorgeous view of the ocean. It is a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit with a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and complimentary wifi. There is a king bed, a television, a ceiling fan, and a split system air conditioning in the primary bedroom. The en suite bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower as is the convenient second bathroom. The second bedroom provides two twin beds that can be converted to a king, and a ceiling fan. The living room is also cooled by split system air conditioning as well as a ceiling fan. A queen sofa sleeper supplies extra sleeping space. There is a television so you can catch up on the local news or your favorite shows. For you outdoor adventures, you will find beach chairs, beach towels, and sand toys. Menehune Shores #422 sleeps 6.
Same day bookings and those arriving within 48 hours of making the reservation requires a phone call to Rentals Maui for confirmation.

Menehune Shores is conveniently located on the main beach road with easy access to some of the island’s best beaches, shopping in South Kihei or Kahului, and scenic drives to Lahaina /Kaanapali. This property is uniquely situated adjacent to the historically important 16th century Alii (Royal) Fish Pond of Kalepolepo. Protected by offshore reefs, the pond provides safe swimming for children and those wishing to avoid heavy surf. Additionally, there is a solar heated swimming pool with barbecue grills on both the ground level and on top of the roof. The rooftop also offers some of the best views on this side of the island. There is a full bar & Indian restaurant on 1st floor/ATM for your convenience.

Watching Maui sunsets from the lanai was fabulous. The TV was a challenge, but the property manager helped me right away and we were able to enjoy our shows. The rooftop with the conch shell sunset performance is fabulous. I’ve stayed at this property many times and it never fails to be wonderful.

Great condo with amazing view!

We loved our stay! It was clean and comfortable and the view of the ocean was beautiful! The location was super convenient, it was close to great beaches, stores, and restaurants. My kids loved the pool and we enjoyed going for walks on the beach in the mornings. We would definitely stay here again!

Overall this would be a nice condo if owners would put money into it for updates (kitchen,bathroom renovation furniture looks like it needs to be updated . Paying more than seven thousand for this condo rental. I was disappointed.

This apartment was decent. On the plus side they had a lot of beach gear. Main downsides were cleanliness (smelled), and being asked to throw out all garbage and recycling despite being charged a cleaning fee. The AC was also not working, though the host tried their best to get it cleaned.

The menu features mostly Indian selections which is fine but offering a kids menu would really be appreciated by families with small children and offering a few typical casual dining options such as hamburgers or other sandwich items would probably create more repeat customers. We ate there once but found other restaurants for the remainder of our visit that had a wider selection of menu items.

Cold water swimming pool

Water in Pool was colder than the ocean water We did not enjoy it at all.Dirty shower walls yellow stained.Second room without AC ,some fun only,didn’t help .kids couldn’t sleep and relaxing.There is a very noisy AC Condensor on balcony continuosl blowing hot air across the balcony .We could not stay there to enjoy the view and we couldn’t open the balcony doors for the fresh ocean air.

Reviewer Comments: After our first sleepless night on Maui @ Maui Sunset #A320 (terrible beds confirmed by their maintenance man along with lack of attention to other things, including cleanliness. Char and her boss @ Rentals Maui generously agreed to move our reservation to Menehune Shores #422. Overall a lovely place,location, and great view. However, the beds again were in need of replacement. The master bulged very noticiably on the side without any weight on it and was very uncomfortable. The first bedroom had no a/c and was on the street side so if the window was left open for breeze the road noise was disturbing. It would mellow out late at night, but trucks and some cars could still be heard throughout the night. We discovered that the bed consisted of two very used twins pushed together to make a king. The problem was that to compensate for the poor mattresses three foam toppers along with 3 mattress pad covers were used which made it sag even worse. Sadly our vacation left us very sleep deprived and with alot of back pain. One last problem: the a/c mini split in the master bedroom has an additional electrical box below the unit (a relay switch?) that intermittantly & continually buzzes whether the unit is off or on. So, we were frustrated and miserable due to lack of sleep and resultant pain. We are older (in our early 70's) and it is possible that younger bodies could tolerate the poor beds better, but why should that be?Again, the place was very nice other than the most important thing - the beds and the lack of a.c. in 1st bedroom. We could not recommend the unit at this time.Thank you to Rentals Maui.It would be helpful if there was a way to inspect bed condition in the units or have record of their age and condition.
