Nice space for a gathering

Initial communication with the host was slow, which caused me some anxiety. But once established, the host was very responsive. The house doesn't look like much outside, but it's all fixed up inside. It's large enough that we could spread out a bit, yet cozy and comfortable and no stairs. The beds were fine, plenty of closet space in the bedrooms, plenty of hot water, all the appliances worked. Our impression is that the place was recently remodeled and the contractor was a bit slipshod: kitchen cupboard doors loose on their hinges, non-functioning outlet, toilet that leaked at the wax seal so unusable, etc. Once those items are fixed, the place will be nearly perfect.

Monica started North Star Properties with one goal. To better serve the Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan Area with a concierge service mentality for short term rentals. From the North suburbs of Detroit she was bred to be in the real estate industry. Both of her parents were entrepreneurs. She watched as her father built Gauthier Corporation, a very successful construction company, which is still running as strong as ever. Her mother started a cleaning company that meticulously made sure every home shined like the top of the Chrysler building. Working for both of her parents growing up, she understands the drive and passion it takes to achieve success. Prior to starting North Star Properties, she sold real estate on the Northside of Chicago before moving to the Dunes and making a permanent home.
