Our family of 6 adults had a perfect stay at the pool house. We enjoyed the pool very much and loved how close beaches, the little downtown area and local restaurants were to the property.
Great location - the beach, Union Pier restaurants and shops are all a short walk away. Easy drive to New Buffalo and other nearby towns. The pool was great to stay cool during the heat wave!
The house the pool the lake, just amazing,
I’m hesitant to say to much because we want to return next year, if I let the VRBO community know how special this place is, our chances of it being available will only go down😂
Thank you for letting us enjoy your little slice of paradise.
My wife and I stayed at Nessa's property with our 2 large dogs. The location was great, it was short walking distance to a general store, Beach rental store, coffee shop / bakery, and the lake. Nessa was very communicative and promptly answered questions. The best part of the stay was the outdoor space (the dogs loved running around the fenced in yard), my wife and I loved the the large pool and fire pit. We are definitely considering a return trip!

Good location
We enjoy staying in the area, as it's close to everything, yet far enough removed from the bustle of NB. House was in need of some work. Fence not completed. Looked like they just completed some interior work, but cleaning was missed. No hot tub as listed on the profile( whirlpool tub is upstairs) Pool was good. Overall ok, but needs some TLC.
The location was great. The pool was awesome! Loved the large backyard and deck space. Great for our dog. The updated kitchen was nice and the front porch was another bonus space especially when it rained. The house does need some things fixed which are just more upkeep items like fixing the broken blinds, replacing the bathroom door, and fixing the screens on the front porch doors. As stated in other reviews, there is no privacy for the bathroom upstairs. It is wide open to the room. Also, it does get quite hot in the upstairs room as the air conditioner is not blowing enough air through the vents. Adding a window unit air conditioner would make it more comfortable during the very hot days. I luckily brought a box fan so it helped make it more comfortable. I had an issue with the mattress but I have a bad back so I sleep on a mattress topper at home. Plus, I have a pillow top mattress. I ended up buying a twin mattress topper to help with it which now I can just take with me on other vacations. All in all we had a great stay.
We enjoyed this rental because of the ability to walk our dog around the entire area. My daughter brought her scooter as well and was able to enjoy the flat area and bike/walking lanes on the main road as well.
Great food spots were also within walking distance as well as beach access. We want to come back!
The pool was great. Great kitchen, comfortable rooms. The main bedroom downstairs was enormous! The kitchen was beautiful. Our only negative was that the upstairs bathroom and bedroom have no door, which we knew ahead of time, so it was no surprise. Overall great property!
A true cottage in our favorite town, walking distance from local shops & restaurants and close to several great beach access points. It's not overly fancy (although the newly renovated kitchen and floors were very nice!) and was just the right size for our mix of 8 adults and kids. Yes, the upstairs bathroom does not have a door, but for our family it worked just fine and the jacuzzi tub was a favorite of all. But really the huge pool and deck made outside the place to be. Nessa was super friendly and in touch whenever we had questions throughout our stay. Would definitely rent again.
The property and home were perfect for the 4 of us. The Pool was absolutely amazing. Super clean and 80 degrees of refreshing water. Kitchens been updated and looks beautiful! Get some pics on line! Very quiet and close to food and anything you need. Shoestring walk to the beach and the whole vibe is truly wonder! We will be there again! Thanks, Nessa!🌴
The upstairs bathroom is not a "full" bathroom as advertised. The bathroom has no shower and no door separating it from the bedroom. The upstairs bedroom also has no door, so there's really no privacy for anyone sleeping... or going to the bathroom... upstairs. That being the case, the upstairs bedroom and bathroom are pretty much unusable if you want any privacy. We had to vacate the property early since we couldn't really use the room with our group. When we arrived at the property, we found a number of dead moths and centipedes. We also found black mold in many of the kitchen cups. When we complained about the upstairs room and cleanliness issues to the property owner, they were unapologetic and did not propose any solutions like staying at another property, cleaning the house, offering a discount for the mis-advertised room, etc. When we told the owner we were leaving early given the lack of resolution, they didn't get back to us for over 24 hours and then just accused us of having ulterior motives. I would absolutely recommend against staying at this property.

The guest checked in at 11:00 pm 7 hrs after the anticipated check in time. Being they were not able to arrive early we offered them a very late check out on the departure date. In addition we arranged to have the pool service come back the following day due to a severe storm that day. The guest texted that they much appreciated both gestures. At app 11:15 the guest texted that "the master BR is typically the largest and on the 2nd floor. Also that the the 2nd floor br was not a full bath. I replied that the master BR in many homes is on the main floor and that the 2nd floor bath was indeed a full bath with a jacuzzi tub. I then received a text saying that their were 2 dead moths in the house and it was "not in good shape".
She then asked if I had any other dog friendly properties with a pool that was fenced in with 2 Masters? I replied "No I'm sorry, this is a very popular week-end (Apple Cider Century Bike Ride)
And the only thing I have vacant is a 2br 1 bath with a deck no yard and no pool". I told her that this property was our most popular (of 6 rentals) and had been completely occupied since Memorial Day with the exception of 2days.
She replied that their are dead bugs and the upstairs was not very usable. The following morning I drove by the property to further discuss her concerns but their were no cars outside so I tried calling the guest. At 1:00 pm the guest texted that they were going to leave the property because the house was not as advertised (2full baths) and not clean. (2dead moths). The truth is the guest texted this AFTER they vacated the property with no call or text. Prior to check in both the property manager and the owner inspected the property it was in pristine condition. After the guest vacated the property the condition was again inspected by the property manager and owner. Other than the one bed that was slept in and 2 used towels the property was clean and hardly used. This guest spent the night and NEVER communicated with us prior to vacating the property the following morning. We tried calling the guest but they did not pick up or return our calls. 2 days later they requested a refund. We pride ourselves in providing very clean and inviting rentals. This guests claims are unfortunate and untrue. We have documentation of all written and verbal communications as well as witnesses and pictures of the rental. The fact that a review like this can be posted without due diligence is not right or fair.
The host went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. It was a very comfortable stay. We had a fenced in yard to let our dogs roam around all day. They loved it! The pool was well kept and very relaxing! We would definitely visit again!
Our family of five, including three boys ages 7-9, LOVED our stay! We swam in the pool every moment we could. We ventured down to the lake, as well. A lovely walk through the neighborhood and down the stairs brought us to beautiful Lake Michigan - plenty of rocks to skip and waves to leap over. The boys kept saying how comfortable the beds were. Great indoor and outdoor space for eating and relaxing. Loved that the pool was shady. All the linens and towels smelled laundry fresh! It felt homey and relaxing and just right for our three-day getaway. Boys have already asked if we can come again :). Thank you Nessa for being so available. Your house is well-situated and lovely!
The home was not fancy but it was quite comfortable and clean. Served our needs. Good location near markets and lake.
The pool was huge and a focal point during our stay.
My only criticism would be that the pool wasn’t terribly warm until after the sun had been out for several hours (after noon). Don’t think the temperature stayed a constant 82 degrees (there was no thermometer to be able to know the actual temperature)because the pump and thus the heater cycled off during the night, allowing it to cool down overnight. Would suggest that it cycle on earlier so that the water is warm in the morning. We had young kids who wanted to swim early but it was too cold to comfortably do so.
The pool is incredible, but it took a while to warm up. The beach is very beautiful and only a half mile walk away. The picture is posted in Vrbo are not exactly what the house looks like some furniture has been changed.
Overall, we had a nice time and the pool is the highlight of this location. There were several things that were not accurate per their listing, one being the sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa was located in a room in which there was not enough room so it could not be opened and it was abit rickity. . We ended up using the regular sofas as an alternative. There were a few noted appliances that were not there when went to use - both toaster and blender were absent :(. I was disappointed as had planned smoothies as part of visit but unable to make. Overall, We still enjoyed our family get together/bday celebration

We enjoyed our stay esp the pool
We enjoyed our stay esp the pool however online it listed this as being secluded which is the main thing we were looking for and it was not. There was a house right next door and another being built in the yard right next to the other side!
Our family had a great stay at your home, the community was very friendly..
Fireworks were awesome to watch on the beach..would definitely stay again..Thank-you
When we arrive the pools heater was only at 70 very cold. I believe the heater should be up and running prior to the guest arriving. We literally had to wait a couple of days before we were comfortable. Other then that we had a blast

Memorial Day Getaway
Great location, close to New Buffalo and the beach. Good size house for our group of 6 adults. We enjoyed the large clean pool and were able to bring our 2 dogs. Second floor patio and large ground floor deck were nice. Price was also good. Accomodations were not "fancy", but just what we were looking for. We would stay there again.

Great house and pool
I loved this house. It has a great open feel whether you're downstairs are upstairs in the loft type master bedroom. It was so quiet and felt secluded.
The pool was heated, which was great since one of the days we were there was too cool for a beach day.
The huge screened in porch has a big table and chairs where we would have our meals.
I noticed in the review above that they had issues with the TV which we never did. Kids enjoyed movies and shows whenever they wanted. While it did say not to use the fireplace, I don't understand why you would since it's summertime.
We will definitely be staying there again.
