Cozy sportsman’s cabin was exactly what was advertised. The light switches were in some strange locations but didn’t affect our experience. Would recommend to anyone.
The house was very cozy and comfortable. We had everything we needed for a great stay. Just make sure you have a plan for food, since the nearest store is a bit far.
Lovely and quiet setting. Can walk along gravel road or hang out at the fire pit or patio. Wonderfully peaceful, devoid of traffic and city lights. Fun winding roads to get there.
The cabin is super cute and set up well for its size so that it felt bigger than some larger cabins I've stayed at. We chilled in the living room, played cards in the kitchen, and really enjoyed a shady afternoon on the deck. Close to the trails at Rush Creek and the river for hiking. Kitchen had plenty of pots and pans. My friends and our dogs had a great and chill 4th of July stay.It rained much of our stay, so we didn't use the fire pit, but the patio looks great and firewood was provided.
A little bit of a drive into the other towns...but this is what makes it very private. Had some detours but we did manage to find a perfect route. I will say watch out for the deer and please don't run over the bany bunnies! My favorite shopping place was the Horsefall varity store in Lansing,Iowa. Did the great river road on both sides of the Mississipi...Great scenery. Be sure to eat at the Riverhouse in Desoto...huge pizzas with great taste.

Thank you for your comments, Bryce. The cabin is on a private well and we do have whole house filter however there is still iron in the water that you may be smelling. I am unsure about a fertilizer smell in the yard as there are no chemicals utilized on the grass for lawn care.
Great stay. The place is fantastic. The host, Michael, is very quick in his responses when I had questions. Fire pit is awesome, comfortable beds, very clean. Only thing I’d change is a bigger coffee pot.
We enjoyed our stay and the secluded location. Property was clean and cozy. Only suggestion is that it would have been helpful to have WiFi and tv instructions in the home as we had no cell service.
Nice, clean property with a great little outdoor fire pit! Absolutely loved the location and cabin. Only thing for future reference if pulling a trailer or boat the drive way can be a hassle.
Extremely clean cabin with all amenities. Beautiful porch and fireplace. Perfect internet connection. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Deserved 5 stars for everything!
