About this property
Heart of Vail Valley-Access to Resorts, World-Class Skiing, Hiking, Rafting
Visitors from around the globe are drawn to our inviting three-bedroom condominium, which is used as a gateway to world-class skiing and snowboarding.
We are directly across I-70 from Lioinshead Resort, the most centrally located access to all of Vail Mountain. It's either a short walk, or one stop on a free bus that stops regularly for passengers directly across the condo on Lions Ridge Loop,
Besides the snowsports, apres-ski, and fine dining--visitors use our condominium year-round for near unlimited hiking, biking, and rafting.
Vail Ski Resort's reputation is merited for its powder snow and as America's largest selection of ski runs. Some skiers come exclusively to enjoy the renowned Back Bowls and Blue Sky Basin, alternatively wide open and forested ski runs that are quiet areas to ski for skiers of all abilities.
The kitchen is considered up-to-date and stocked with sufficient kitchenware to cook complete family meals. There is also a dishwasher for easy cleanup The counters are dark Silestone and the appliances are matching silver and black. VLP flooring was recently installed on the main areas of the ground floor, adding a warm look and feel.
The bathrooms, which we continue to improve, are cleaned between guests, as you'd expect, and are deep cleaned before and after each season.
We cherish our balcony, off our family room with the fireplace, which we use as a secluded reading spot while enjoying unobstructed views of the Gore Range while also listening to the rushing waters of Gore Creek just below.
You can stay connected with high-speed WiFi, and enjoy the convenience of an in-unit washer and dryer. To unwind in the evening, we will sit in front of the cozy gas fireplace and catch up on the latest TV shows on the wall-mounted smart TV.
The area also boasts top-class visual arts performances at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, where audience members often have access to meet some of the stars.
A half-hour drive West is one of the most spectacular drives in America, through the Glenwood Canyon. At the end, you will emerge at Glenwood Springs, a fork for the Eagle River, that has the largest heated pool, private hot spring pools, and heated sulfur caves—perfect for relaxing after a day of sport.
Great location, comfortable amenities, and privacy make our second home an easy choice for an unforgettable mountain vacation!

About the host
Hosted by Monica, Steven and Erica Slater

Our family loves coming out to Vail for skiing, but also its year-round activities, from music and wine festivals to the variety of hiking, biking, water sports and more. Some of our fondest family memories come from Vail.
Why they chose this property
Over the past few years, the entire property exterior has been updated to reflect the mountain environment. And in our building, the insulation was removed and replaced to meet the highest standards, providing a healthy environment. Additionally, a sprinkler system was added to protect the building and the units from fire hazard. Both of which help ensure peace of mind for us and our guests.
What makes this property unique
The beautiful, peaceful surroundings with mountain view vistas and the sounds of a rippling creek below. The location is one-of-a-kind, from access to skiing or other mountain activities using the free commuter bus, whose last stop is across the street before Lionshead. And, an easy, 15-minute walk back to the condo, or a bus ride.
