Great Value in Vail

This property has everything you need for a great stay in Vail. The location is a very near Donovan park where we frequently rented the Shift ebikes to ride into Lionshead or Vail Village. But walking there is also very easy via the bike path as well. We comfortably slept 5 adults using the two bedrooms and the loft sleeper sofa. There is a well stocked kitchen with updated appliances for preparing meals. We fished right out the back door on Gore Creek that passes right behind the house. Overall couldn't have been happier with our stay.

Great location and amount of space!

Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. There was ample space for us to spread out and sleep, and the table was plenty big enough for us to eat around. We had easy access to activities in Vail, and it was an easy drive to our scheduled actives in Avon and Edwards. Probably our favorite part though? The gorgeous, peaceful path that ran nearby. We loved walking it, and my husband declared it to be his favorite running location ever.

Great Location... but some traffic noise from I70

Great property.. needs some minor maintenance, but a very spacious home with lots of room to relax. Location is great .. short drive to Vail village and grocery shopping if needed.. the only knock is that it is close to I70 so lots of freeway background noise. Easy drive to some of the best scenery available in NA as well as some significant historical and geological sites.... Leadville an easy drive as well as Aspen.... Moab Utah is a great day trip

Nice property in a great location.

The house was nice, plenty of space inside and in the driveway, but we were not allowed to use the garage which would have been helpful for us. The house could use a little TLC and updates in some areas, and . We were in town for business for several months and the location was perfect for us right in Vail and the neighborhood was quiet. We would rent this location again if needed in the future.

Great place on the bus loop

This house had plenty of space for all of us. It was clean. Lisa was so responsive! We had a question about the heat in the house and she was on it right away. There are two pull out couches, a king size bed, and a bunk bed with a full bed on the bottom. Plenty of sleeping spots. The house is a very short walk to the bus stop. Would stay here again!

Nice House, great location, need to improve the linens.

The house is great, we had a wonderfull time. The location is very good, 5 min by car from Lionshead, although the bus is really close to the house if you prefer not to rent a car. We were with two kids and my mom, so we prefered the car. The only strong recomendation to the owners is to get new linens in general, because they are very dated and it makes them look not as clean as they should be (towels, sheets, bathroom rugs...). But the house in general is very confortable.

Great location, wonderful family house

The house is perfectly located in a cul de sac, a block from the free shuttle to Lions Head and Vail, next to a wonderful park with a playground, sport fields and creek access AND it is on the hike/bike trail that goes into town and the neighboring towns! We walked the 1.7 miles to town for dinner and ice creams easily with 5, 6,7 year olds. There is a bit of road noise, but it's really not that big of a distraction. My husband worked remotely and occasionally needed to use his phone as a hot spot for better connectivity. Over all, lovely stay, we hiked wonderful, scenic hikes and thoroughly enjoyed the cool mountain air in August

Great location - some flaws

Perfect location for riding at Vail. Bus stop was very close and reliable. Home was nice but had some broken features, none critical. Couch was very old in the main room. Pull out matteras upstairs missing some springs. Toilet paper was minimal and towels were in the dryer. Would come back again but a little TLC would go a long way.

Great location but needs major renovations!

Overall clean but everything is falling apart. Dangerous wires hanging out of walls. Hot water takes ten minutes to heat up. Everything is subpar. Location is great but house is very old. Outside is deplorable. Paint is pealing everywhere, internet is so slow. Don’t waste your money pay more and get a more transparent reservation. The pictures online are very deceiving. Everything is old and need of repair. Hvac, plumbling, oven, the only appliance that worker well was the washer/dryer.

Great vacation!

Lisa was a joy to work with, and quickly addressed any little issues that came up in our stay. The house had ample space for our family of 5, and we really appreciated having a good "home base" where we could play games and hang out as a family (especially since we're in quarantine and were just going to Vail to hike...no shopping, etc.). The only less-than-idea aspects were that (as other reviewers have said), it is located right off of the highway so there is always highway noise. Not much you can do about that, and Vail isn't your normal "small town" CO feel anyhow. We were happy to soak up the silence on the trails and embrace that we were staying in a bigger city with all that comes with it :). Also, the TVs are older and my kids were bothered by the high-pitch sound when turned on (kids can hear higher frequencies than adults), so we didn't watch the tvs...not really an issue for us, but others might like to know. Otherwise, we are so grateful for the chance to get away from the Texas heat and enjoy this charming, cozy home, the cooler weather, and a chance to just be together. Great location to highways, groceries, and anything else you could need. Thanks, Lisa!

Disappointed

We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. There were a couple of insects in the house when we arrived. The lighting is poor in some of the rooms. We arrived in the evening and it was quite warm in the house. We went to open windows, only to find most of the screens were not in good enough shape to open windows. We turned the thermostat fan on and then found the air did not circulate through all of the rooms. One bedroom got no circulation. We saw there were a couple of floor fans and attempted to use them. One did not work at all. The other would fall over and wasn’t very functional. Some towels looked iffy, which made us question whether linens were freshly laundered. We were depending on one person to sleep in the upstairs loft. The pullout bed in that room was caving in on one end. It does not qualify as a bed. On the upside, it is located in a nice cul de sac, and isn’t far from Vail Village. The scenery is gorgeous.
