This property is one of a kind. This house is perfect for any event or just a quick weekend get away. Erika the host was a great host any question I had she answered it in a timely manner. Thank you Erika for letting us spend time with our alumni at your perfect house.
This property had everything we needed and more. The place was quaint and uniquely decorated and situated in a way that we found endearing and awesome. Check in and check out was seamless and we had everything we needed for a weekend away. We enjoyed it!
Our stay was great Had a couple issues with the air conditioning, but Erica took care of the issues
Plenty of room for the10 of us. Beautiful home and beautiful view
My family came up to the mountains to spread my mom’s ashes for her final wishes. I was delighted to find this home with plenty of space for the 8 of us! The view was wonderful and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and still convenient to everywhere we needed to go. Host was great with communication too! We really enjoyed our stay and recommend you stay too!
We truly enjoyed our stay! Erika was an awesome host! The house was awesome! I can tell this is a loved family home. There are positive words and sayings everywhere around the house. There’s something for all ages, children and up. We also loved the fact that it was very close to Hiawassee, Ga as well as several towns in the area that had fall festivals. Great location!
We loved the location and layout of house! We could have used a hand mixer and larger bowls for mixing and it would be nice to have at least one large pot for cooking soup or spaghetti. The multi levels were great! Living rooms on both floors was perfect! We will definitely go back! Thanks so much for having us!
This house was pretty great! We didn't arrive until almost 10 pm coming from Georgia after dropping our oldest off after graduating from Basic Training in South Carolina.
Even though check-out was 11 am the next morning, we made the best of it! Our three younger sons loved exploring the house and discovering all the fun rooms! The neighbors were very pleasant, and the lake was gorgeous! We wish we could have stayed longer and would recommend this house to anyone and everyone! :)

Shabby Chic
This property has a lot of potential. I loved the decor. The not so : Broken glass on the upper drive sidewalk area. The floors and showers weren't cleaned well. The sofas all needed a Bissell clean machine taken to them. They had spill marks and stains. Cute furniture, but visibly soiled. Drawers in kitchens could use wiping out. Downstairs bathroom door would not close and downstairs bathroom had a very bad odor. Family would'nt use it. Had an HVAC drain issue and it flooded one of the downstairs bedrooms. Quickly addressed by owner. Bottom wooden step in front of house needs replaced or secured better. Front door to home would not close. Didn't seem to fit in frame. Its an older home with wooded, mountain/lake moisture issues. There are centipedes everywhere inside home. I don't mind them so much. I'm from Southeast Missouri, but my 12yo son had one crawl in his ear at night. One of the rooms with a bed was not cool enough to sleep in during July, but in milder months would be fine. Good things: Quiet, nice location. Lake was lovely. The whole area was beautiful. Plenty of hot water. Beds were comfortable. Sofa beds not so much, but I don't know of many that are comfy for adults. Washer & dryer worked well. Dishwasher pods, laundry pods, handsoap, toilet paper & paper towels were provided. Kitchens both had plenty of cookware. Refrigerators on both levels of home. Owner responded quickly if anything was needed. We enjoyed our stay on the lake and have some lovely memories.

Not what it appears
The weather was very wet and cold. The leaves in the walks made the walk slippery. Some steps had no rails. The boards on the decks were so very slippery and some are not in good repair(rotting). Listing says outdoor play area, there is not.
Basement living area very dingy and cold. The pictures are deceiving. The basement kitchen does not have a stove. The basement bathroom sink cabinet is not bolted to the wall. Also, water was seeping up from the laminate. To access one basement bedroom you had to go out the basement glass doors then walk outdoors, down to that bedroom. Zero heat! The couple that stayed in that room had to walk outside to the sliding door in the middle of the night just to go to the bathroom.
The second bedroom bed was full of hills and valleys. The bed covers are dingy and need replacing.
The stairs leading to the upper level are very steep and the risers are extremely too high. The “reading room” very cold and does not have the individual heater as shown in the pictures. The two that stayed in that room were very uncomfortable.
In that kitchen one of the pots from under the cabinet had hair all in the bottom of it.
This house would be a gem but only after some major repairs and changes to how it is cleaned. Also, the need for more adequate heating for every room.
We were very disappointed and will not be back or recommend.
Location and house was nice, loved all the games included to keep everyone entertained. Only thing we had issue with was the air, it was very stuffy .

About the host
Hosted by Erika
Hey! I'm a local here in Hayesville, and wanted a home on the lake. My Aunt and I decided to buy a lake house to enjoy and share with others. It is very eclectic and definitely not your typical lake or mountain cabin.
Why they chose this property
This house has multiple spaces to accommodate all kinds of people. Families and friends can come together and enjoy each other, while also having their own space to chill out, Multiple porches and decks, balconies and nooks abound. Reading Nook with windows to look out at the lake while cozying up in the pillow pile.
What makes this property unique
Close to the lake, mountains, town and hiking adventures abound.
