Lake view and lakes access home , the home has gorgeous views of the lake from most of the rooms. Just a two minute walk to the lake. Home is located in a beautiful older neighborhood. It’s on a quiet cove that is perfect to paddle board on. We have two paddle boards we provide for your use. With 3 bedrooms on the main floor and two bedrooms plus a large additional living room in the basement you will have plenty of room for your entire family or group. Will park 5 cars easily. Access to the home is very easy ,with no steep driveways. Huge front porch overlooking the lake. 3.9 miles from downtown hayesville. 13 miles from downtown Hiawassee. Two of the three bedrooms upstairs have beautiful views of the lake as well as the living room and kitchen. We also have a patio in the front of the house that is perfect for grilling. There is a patio off the basement as well.

We had the absolute best time in this home. We spent every morning watching the fog lift from the lake. The home has everything you could need for a great vacation. Our family loved using the paddle boards! We will definitely be staying again on our next visit!

Luxury on the Lake

We absolutely loved our visit to Lake Chatuge. The lake house was so clean and well equipped and comfoprtable for our stay. The location was perfect for us. It was a 2 minute walk to the lake and we were able to enjoy swimming and sunning on the boat dock. The screened in porch was such an incredible addition. It was so peaceful and beautiful. Highly recommend!

Best Ever Lake House

Our VRBO house and VRBO host was absolutely 53 out of five stars… The best ever. This was a surprise birthday weekend for my wife with family and friends and all 12 of us commented on how this was the most peaceful and relaxing weekend at the lake house that they have ever had in such a long time. Our host Allison was so helpful and pleasant and just a wonderful, wonderful person. We cannot thank her enough for her hospitality. We would love to stay at this home again in the future.

The house is in a great location! The house needed some cleaning! One of the beds had a comforter that smelled like urine! The house has very minimal cooking supplies! If you plan to cook you will need to bring foil, ziplock bags, extra paper towel rolls, cooking oils and containers! You will need to bring pool towels to use for swimming! There are a lot of fruit flies in the kitchen! I don’t know if it is just the time of the year or what! The dock was nice and the cove was very peaceful!

Let me start by saying that everything about this stay was amazing. From booking and communication with the host to the property description being exactly as it was when we arrived, everything was wonderful. The home was super super clean, the kitchen well stocked with dishes and lots of towels with a washer and dryer (a big plus for having grandkids lol), beautiful views of the lake and just absolutely perfect for us. It was plenty big for the four of us as we anticipated having a couple of friends and family visit while we were there. Grocery was close by so it wasn’t a long trip to run and get a couple of things. We will plan on staying here again, hopefully even as soon as Fall to enjoy some leaf changing.

A great Thanksgiving get-away

This house was very clean, spacious, well furnished, nicely decorated, and we loved that it was pet friendly which allowed us to bring our small dog. The views of both the mountains and the lake were beautiful!! The community was very peaceful and quiet and the people we met in Haysville were very friendly. Our only concern is that we misinterpreted the house description and thought there was an easy access to the main floor. My elderly mother who uses a walker was with us and we had some difficulty getting her in and out of the house. But otherwise, we completely enjoyed our Thanksgiving get-away in this beautiful lake home.

That Porch!!! That view!!!

Great host! Great property. The screened in porch is too wonderful! We stayed in Oct and the leaves were changing before our eyes. The lake was up more than I thought it would be that time of year and was beautiful with the brightest full moon of the year coming up over the lake! Beautiful!! My mother in law had a bit of a hard time with the bathroom because she is a recent stroke patient and doesn't have much use of her left side. If that sounds like you just be aware that the potties were hard to manage for her. We enjoyed our stay and the price was great. Fabulous and responsive host. Loved it!

My husband & I live locally in Hayesville. We love lake chatuge, we enjoy boating, paddleboarding, kayaking, wakeboarding & wake surfing. We are super excited about having this new home om the lake. We hope you enjoy it as well.. It is in such a beautiful quiet area on the lake. We have two daughters and one grandson who is 6 & one granddaughter who is 2 months old. We also have our fur baby Bohdi. He is an Aussie. We live a few miles away from this home. While it is not rented, we will be staying there as much as possible so we can enjoy the lake.

Why they chose this property

I have always loved Lake Chatuge and especially this quiet neighborhood. Every time I would go into this neighborhood, I would always say this is the cutest place on the lake. When I saw it for sale I bought it right away. We are going to be doing some renovations this April & continue to update the home. I can't wait to see it with all the new stuff. The pictures show it like it is right now but by May first it will look a lot better!

What makes this property unique

My favorite thing about this home is the view all around the home & how close it is to the lake. As you pull up to Wondeview it has white fences all the way from the road into the neighborhood. The front porch is huge & I think you will spend lots of time there. I know I will!
