What a wonderful cabiin, very clean, well stocked, the porches and the view was our absolute favorite and the beds are so comfortable!!! We will definitely visit this cabin again!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Brown Bear Hideaway. Our experience communicating with the host, Karen, was a pleasure. Karen was so easy to talk with and was very accommodating.The cottage was nice and met our needs. The only suggestion we would make is the installing of grab bars in the bathrooms to accommodate people who have mobility issues.We would highly recommend this place to travelers who are looking for a nice place to stay in Hiawassee.

Can not say enough GREAT THINGS about this place and our host. Will definitely be back. The cabin is beautiful and the views from both back porches are truly breathtaking. So many things to do around it. Definitely recommend going to Helen, cute little town and zip lining with Nacoochee Adventures. Ask for River and Xavier. You will not be disappointed. Thank you!!!

Very nice rustic feeling cottage. Plenty of room. great view from top porch. convenient parking making load in and out of personal items simple. Everything you need in a kitchen. Quiet location.

Beautiful views and super relaxing location. Directions very easy to follow. Rooms were clean and nice and an all around good time. Fresh air felt amazing to breathe in the GA mountains. Love to come back sometime.

The cabin was very clean. Easy to get to. Extremely quiet. Convenient to the shops, restaurants, and trails we like. The screened porch was the best, that's where we spent most of our time while at the cabin. Beautiful view. Karen and her husband were very responsive and attentive, very nice people.

I cannot say enough good things about this cabin and the host. It was spotlessly clean, incredibly comfy and cozy, and the location and views are spectacular. We slept on the Queen bed on the top floor and it felt like a hybrid mattress. It was cool, temperature s from 47-upper 60s, so we enjoyed the fireplace. Every sunrise was gorgeous and it was so peaceful with wonderful rustling the trees and birds singing. It is very convenient to town and the very nice Ingles grocery. The host texted with helpful information. We didn’t need help from her because everything in the house was as expected. We hope to return soon!

Our cabin was cozy and was pet friendly with our toy poodle. There was amble room for 4 adults and 2 large screened in porches to relax ourside and enjoy the beautiful views of the mountains. Firewood was provided so that we could have an evening around a campfire.
