Enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Lanier from this five bedroom, three bathroom luxury cabin situated on a peaceful and secluded lot in North Georgia. This three level cabin features 26 foot floor to ceiling windows, luxurious master suite, hardwood floors, three fireplaces, two large decks overlooking the lake, gourmet kitchen, open floor plan, hot tub, pool table, gentle slope to water, and deep-water dock in a quiet cove.

A favorite aspect of the house is the large outdoor screened living area off the kitchen which includes comfortable seating, hanging swing chair, fireplace, large screen TV, 10-person dining -- perched high in the trees with a beautiful view of the lake! And everyone loves the enclosed outdoor shower with a view of the lake.

This is the perfect spot to enjoy the lake and spend time with family and friends. The spacious cabin (sleeps 16) also makes a great location for corporate retreats and group outings. Bring your boat (or rent one nearby) and water toys during the spring and summer months. Relax and enjoy the changing leaves, autumn festivals, and holiday gatherings in the fall and winter.

The cabin is located 50 minutes north of downtown Atlanta off of GA 400. It is situated on Thompson Creek in the northwest corner of the lake away from all the rough water and crowds. There is convenient access to public boat ramps and a marina with fuel. The cabin is just 10 minutes from the historic town of Dahlonega with its quaint restaurants and shops. Also enjoy nearby golf, Amicalola Falls, pumpkin farms, North Georgia Premium Outlets, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, and the best hiking and biking that North Georgia has to offer.

Highly recommend. Venue perfectly accommodated our family and friends throughout our week of stay. House is close to major grocery, coffee shops, and outlet shopping. A small convenience store and gas station is even closer. Host was kind and extremely responsive. The deer and birds were also a nice touch.

The Schock Family Reunion

A great time with my brothers and wives. The rental was very good with plenty of room. Lovely deck, views of the lake were great. Adequate kitchen and supplies for the 8 of us. We really enjoyed the screened in porch for our dinners. Very close to other amenities. Good Hot tub. Extras with the lake dock and canoe. Really fun time. We would recommend to friends.

Wonderful trip!

The living room was perfect for hanging out with a good book, especially during the day when the sunlight was coming in through the big windows. The porch was perfect for watching the deer. We had such a wonderful stay and highly recommend !

Wonderful Retreat

Our group of 12 adults thoroughly enjoyed our time at this home! The location is very quiet and on a nice part of the lake that isn't too busy. The screened porch and upper dock level were the most popular spots...and the pool table was great for passing the time while meals were prepared. Will be keeping this spot in mind for the future!

We loved our stay! The layout of the home was fantastic. We traveled with our teen kids and they had their own floor, while the adults had our space. The main level had enough seating for everyone. We spent a lot of quality time around the dining table. The water activities were great- the kids enjoyed the canoe and the paddle board! We loved that there were life jackets and amply seating up on the dock as well.The house had everything we needed! Thank you for sharing your space with us.

Great family Christmas celebration

My sisters and all of our spouses stayed in this great house to celebrate Christmas. It is a three level home with spectacular views. Very spacious yet cozy. Loved all the fireplaces. Perfect!

Beautiful Lake House

We had the best time. Beds were comfortable. House was clean. I could live in the sidr.porch with fireplace. Views are gorgeous. Group of deer seem to live in the neighborhood and visited often. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Family House

We were looking for a place to relax and have time as a family. This house was just the ticket. Great location! Only 10 minutes from shopping, dining, etc! The outside porch was amazing and great for sitting around the fire throughout the day. I would highly recommend as I am sure it is even more fun during warmer weather.

Wonderful Family Retreat

Our family had a wonderful stay at this lake cabin. The listing was very accurate. The owner was easy to communicate with. He was quick to send a repairman when there was a small plumbing issue. The lake was beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the dock and the water toys. We also appreciated that there were stores close by to pick up a few things we needed. We also loved visiting Dahlonega for ice cream. We would definitely come again.

Wonderful views and location

Private yet convenient to all of the necessary amenities within ten minutes. Great views from all areas of the house. Beautiful lake and wonderful dock. Lots of games to keep kids entertained. Outstanding space for all three families to spread out and relax. Fantastic fireplaces!!! Enjoyed evenings in the hot tub. Host was most outstanding with communication as well as understanding with a couple of issues that did arise. Host accommodated immediate resolutions of the issues. Would most definitely book this property again. Preferably in the summer time to enjoy the lake properties to there fullest.

The perfect New Years trip

The layout of this beautiful lake house far exceeded our expectations. The 6 kids got to enjoy a fun bunk house room and basically had their own living room to watch TV, relax, and play games. The main living area and extended patio with fire place were utilized to the fullest. Plenty of room for our group of 12. We’ve already discussed returning in the summer

Beautiful House, Great getaway

We loved Dan’s Lakehouse. The property is beautiful, we’ll maintained and comfortable. The house has tons of space for lounging around including our favorite- the screened in patio. The rooms with king beds were lovely and comfortable. The bunk bed was great for space although the adults we had in there were a bit crowded but we knew that going in. Access to the dock, canoe, was incredible and the one small issue we had was handled immediately by the communicative owner. Would recommended!!

Best Lake House Ever

We rented this Lake House for our wedding week. We stayed here with most of our Bridal party and a few of their kids. The best part of this house was the fire place on the patio! This is where we spent most of our time. Dan the owner called to check-in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. He was great. They have all of the cookware and items needed for cooking as we did all of our own cooking. I highly recommend staying at this house

Lake Lanier

Nice and quiet location - overall home was OK. The great room and screened porch had a nice view of the lake. Outside metal dining table had no seat cushions so I couldn't sit out on deck to work or eat. Access to dock in the backyard is a bit steep with dense foliage on either side of the path to the water.

Amazing property

The pictures do not do the house justice. Other than renting a tritoon boat from the Port Royale Marina one day (great folks to deal with and about an hour ride back to the house at a casual speed), we never felt the need to leave the house. We encountered a couple days with rain, but there was still plenty to do inside and the screened attached porch still made us feel like we were outside. Dan was very responsive to a couple questions we had. If we ever find ourselves back in Georgia, we would rebook without hesitating.

Loving Lake Life

Dan was an excellent host. He was helpful and was always available when needed, even though we didn’t need him often. The property is in a great location. It’s close to civilization but feels very remote. If you like to jog or walk in the mornings, it’s a great locale for that. The house needs some updates, so be aware of that if you’re looking for something that’s super modern. But, if you’re living lake life correctly, you don’t need to be in the house much. The house has great outdoor spaces, and a fabulous screened porch. The hot tub and pool table were a hit with the kids! We rented a boat from Paradise Boat Rentals, which is only a 30 minute drive from the property. We also brought jet skis and the jet ski trailer fit down the driveway easily. I don’t think the same could be said for a boat trailer. Great accommodations over all!

Everyone loved the cabin. It was perfect for our family. The cabin gave everyone their space if wanted but also areas where we could all be together also. The owner is fantastic!! We had a question late one night, and he answered almost immediately which pleasantly amazed me. The cabin is even better in person than on Vrbo!

The place was awesome. Very comfortable for our group. Dock and lake a lot of fun - walk to the dock a great workout for all! Kitchen was well equipped - had everything we needed. Extra refrigerator in the basement helped with keeping large group outfitted with cold drinks! Lots of places to gather to eat, hang out and talk! Hanging chair was a big hit with teens. Owner/host was really helpful answering questions. We would/will go back!

'Forty something' married, professional couple in the Atlanta area. 4 kids and a large extended family. We grew up on the water - lakes, rivers, and ocean. Love the outdoors, nature, family, adventure, and watersports.

Why they chose this property

My wife and I both grew up on near the water, and we want to share that experience with our kids and extended family. We love Lake Lanier -- what a beautiful lake!! In particular, we really love the northwest part of the lake since it is farther away from the crowds and rough water. Also, it's closer to the foothills of the North Georgia mountains and all of the wonderful things that area has to offer.

For several years, we tried to find a nice, big rental house on Lake Lanier for gatherings with extended family. Unfortunately, we were always disappointed with what was available for rent. Often, the houses were old and rundown with few amenities, and the owners were not very accommodating or customer-service oriented.

So realizing that there must be other families out there like ours, we decided to build a house from the ground up specifically catering to the high-end market for larger groups. Our house is one of the largest rental houses available on the lake, and we're sure that you'll agree that our amenities and location can't be beat!!
