Take it easy at this cozy unique getaway in the North Carolina Mountains. This mountain cabin is a true escape, private in a very quiet place.
Come relax and enjoy the mountains and the fresh air or the Nantahala Forest. This charming cabin offers a furnished deck that’s perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or evening tea . The cabin is about 25 minutes away from Downtown Murphy or downtown Blueridge and 10 minutes away from Lake Hiwassee, so bring your boat or RV, we have enough parking.

True log cozy cabin situated in a quite and private place will make you feel like home. Little Bear Paw Retreat is the perfect place to get away from it all and reset! Whether you are looking for exhilarating fun, waterfalls, a day out by the lake, or just a peaceful escape. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with coffee pot maker , 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a large deck and a living room with a gas fireplace and a pullout sofa bed.

Little Bear Paw Retreat is located just minutes away from Lake Hiwassee and Hiwassee Dam. Boater, canoer, and kayakers will find easy access to the water complete with picnic area, hiking trails, and a boat launching ramp.

If fishing or kayaking is your thing, look no further. Lake Hiwassee is surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest, and offers spectacular scenery. Lake Hiwassee is primarily fed by the Hiwassee, Nottely, and Valley rivers.

Anyone who loves spending time outside and is planning a trip to Murphy will want to get out and explore. There are several fun things to do in town, but maybe you want to see some of the beautiful natural features of the area. Absolutely Perfect Christmas Getaway!!

This was the 5th time my wife and I visited the area and this cabin was by far the cleanest and most comfortable to stay in. Roxana was a fantastic host in every way!! Upon entry into the cabin, we were greeted by a Christmas tree (what a wonderful surprise), some treats and hot chocolate to enjoy - even reindeer antler headbands to celebrate the holiday!! :) The covered porch is gated, which made it possible to keep our puppies with us (they're 11 & 12 years old, but always puppies to us, lol) while we enjoyed the cool winter air with a coffee/hot chocolate. The land is very flat, open and private - which was a huge plus. It made it nice and easy to walk the puppies each morning, day and night. Driving to the cabin was effortless. No steep hills or "mountain driving" to worry about. We were able to access several downtowns (Murphy, Andrews, Blairsville, Blue Ridge, Elijay and Helen); all within less than an hour or so. Did I mention how incredibly clean and well-maintained the cabin is?! :)) Thank you, Roxana, for a wonderful cabin rental experience. We look forward to visiting again!!

Peaceful Little Bear Paw

Little Bear Paw is exceptionally clean and well appointed! Loved our stay - front porch sitting is a must with either coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. Our pet enjoyed wandering in the flat yard. Great place!

Anniversary

The property was clean and well maintained. The main problem we had was the shower head was mounted high and did not have a hand held option. My wife is somewhat short. Also ceiling fans in bedroom would be helpful. Neither problem was major to us. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Great get away!

Beautiful place to stay. It is pet friendly and quiet and peaceful. We will definitely go back on next vacation trip. Roxana was a great host and answered any questions or concerns in a timely manner.

Relaxing getaway

It was cozy and beautifully decorated with everything you needed. We were able to bring our fur babies and after hiking and walking them they didn't want to leave. Host Roxana was on point with everything. Highly recommended and will be back.
