Summer in Acadia

Lovely cottage on Mount Desert Island quiet side

We really enjoyed our stay! Everything as described- plus Joe has hiking poles available for guests which we really appreciated.

Lovely Cottage

Joe is wonderful to work with from the time of booking through check out. The cottage is tastefully decorated with friendly touches. Everything you need is at your fingertips. We had no need to fight the crowds downtown. We enjoyed our day hikes and returned later in the day to relax, prepare our meals and enjoy the calm, peaceful neighborhood. A great place to visit with our dog, an extra bonus!

It was very clean and communication with Joe was great. The cottage is old so the floors creak and the ceilings are low. We are over 75 so hauling our bags up the steep and narrow stairs was a chore. I wouldn’t recommend his cottage for older people or families with young kids due to stairs. I didn’t like that the smoke detector was removed from our bedroom. It was a great location and quiet setting. Overall, we made it work.
