About this property
Historic Cottage, Two Blocks from Main St., 30 day+ stays.
Barbara's Place Is a Century Old Historic Treasure located just a few strides off Bozeman Avenue and two blocks From Main Street. The best of two centuries, Barbara's Place will provide you with a stay as unique as Bozeman is itself. We are taking reservations for 30-day or longer stays; send an inquiry if you have questions.
Listed On the National Historic Register, this home was built by the widow of a local brewer and has been lovingly cared for by her family ever since. The home's interior combines fine wood finishes, turn of the century (1907) craftsmanship, tasteful antiques and most modern-day comforts. Recline in the down-filled sofa and chairs while you plan your next adventure. Snuggle under the blankets and comforter in luxury sheets to get your adequate rest. Never mind the daylight with black-out curtains in the bedrooms. Wake up rejuvenated and ready to enjoy all Bozeman has to offer. You are a heartbeat away from the vibrancy of downtown.
We love our four-legged friends. Bozeman is a dog friendly town as is our home. All pets require pre-approval and an additional fee. Across the street from City Hall, we request good behavior and following the leash-law in-town.
Parking is on-street either in front of or behind the home.
Day or Night, Life Is Downtown and it's all just a few blocks away. By Day, Stroll Along Our Main Street and Be Greeted By a Host of Friendly Shop Keepers. Stop For an Espresso At One of the Cafes. Pamper yourself at the Loft Spa. Catch Up On Local History At the Nearby Public Library, a Historic Tour, or Visit the Pioneer Museum. Board a Streamline Bus and visit Montana State University or Launch a Dinosaur Adventure at the Renowned Museum of the Rockies. By Night, Take in Live Music, Theatre, Ballet, or Opera. Step Onto the Dance Floor Yourself. It's Almost Certain That Your Favorite Music Is Being Performed Live Somewhere Along Main Street or a few blocks away at the Elm. Let Our Restaurants Entice You with Everything from Sushi to Montana Beef and Buffalo Steaks. Savor a Glass of Wine and Chat with the Locals at the Wine Bar. It's All Downtown and Just Around the Corner from Barbara's Place.
Off Main Street Adventures Await the Outdoor Enthusiast. In the Winter, Ice Skating Is a Couple Blocks Away outside at Beall Park or up the road at the Fairgrounds, Sledding Hills and Cross Country Ski Trails Are Only a Little Further at Lindley Park or Peets Hill. Just Down the Street You Can Catch the bus to Bridger Bowl, Choice of the Locals for Downhill Skiing. Bridger Bowl is a 16-mile drive. A One Hour Drive Will Get You to Big Sky Ski Resort, and Just a Little Beyond, You Will Find the Gates of Yellowstone National Park.
Step Out the Door of Barbara's Place. Good Times Await!

About the host
Hosted by Shane & Whitney Lutey

MY GREAT-GREAT GRANDMOTHER, BARBARA, WAS THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THIS HOME. IT HAS NEVER BEEN OWNED BY ANYONE OTHER THAN FAMILY THROUGHOUT THE DECADES. IT IS NOW OUR TURN TO CARE FOR THIS HOME AND WE ARE PLEASED TO SHARE IT WITH YOU. BLESSED TO LIVE IN THIS 'LAST BEST PLACE' BOZEMAN, MT MOST OF OUR LIVES, WE ARE AS LOCAL AS YOU CAN GET!
Why they chose this property
Barbara's Place is a cozy cottage, a place to relax and use as your hub for a Montana adventure. You don't need to drive - everything is downtown. A stone's throw from great restaurants; a short walk to ice cream, the grocer, a barista, the baker, the deli. We hope you love it!
What makes this property unique
Take a step back into OLD BOZEMAN. The property is nostalgic; remembering the stories of my mother and her grandfather, spending time together sitting on the front porch watching a spider spin its web. Or receiving the mail from the hands of the mail carrier, waiving to the neighbors as they walk by. Listening to the birds; the Downey woodpecker looking for its next meal in the old apple tree or the Chickadees nesting nearby.
