Beautiful area! Host was quick to respond to any questions. Great amenities. We did encounter quite a few ants in the cabin during our stay but that could be typical for this time of year. Host was apologetic for the issue.
This is a tranquil, lovely cabin by Horseshoe lake. Found everything we needed for a relaxing couple days. It was spacious, comfortable and in a great location. Check-in was easy and our hist was always available on the app to answer any questions. Though we didn't have any as evrything was well marked. Lots of games and gear to enjoy the lake. Also, the sunrises are beautiful from the cabin.
Nicely appointed cabin on the water. Very comfortable beds and thoughtfully designed. It was wonderful to relax on the deck with the fireplace in the early evenings, beautiful sunrise views in the a.m.

Thank you so much Molly, we’re glad you were able to stay! Please come again.
Perfect stay for small family as it has the three bedrooms, one with a crib. Cozy, peaceful and a great view of the lake. Nice chain of lakes to boat and fish. Looking forward to booking again!
Beautiful experience all the way around! Clean, quaint and well equipped cabin offering the comforts of home with a great view of Horseshoe Lake. Enjoyed our days playing on the water and nights around the bonfire star gazing. Great location to escape with nearby Richmond and Cold Spring for groceries or places to dine. Great communication with host family. 5 star gem!
We flew up from Texas to get out of the heat and couldn’t be happier with this incredibly lovely A-Frame. Comfy beds, comfy couch, great decor and best of all - right on the water! We fished every day, relaxed, and overall enjoyed our time listening to the birds and watching activity on the lake. Definitely plan in advance to go to the Farmers Market in Richmond if it’s happening during your stay; best produce and meats/cheeses. If we lived closer, this would be a repeat destination often!
The kitchen has no dishwasher and the pans there took me an hour to clean due to quality. No king beds in any bedroom. House was 49 degrees when we arrived. Took hours to warm up

Carolyn, we’re sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. We always encourage guests to reach out during their visit so we have the opportunity to address any concerns in real time. We are committed to making things right whenever possible.
For clarity, the listing accurately notes that the cabin does not have a dishwasher or a king bed. This is a vintage cabin built in the 1970s, and we’ve intentionally preserved its smaller, cozy character.
We appreciate your feedback and would welcome the opportunity to host you again in the future should our property be a better fit for your expectations.
Hubby and I were long overdo for a getaway. A last minute decision had us looking for a cozy weekend cabin and this place fit the bill. We were delighted with this little retro A-Frame!
My husband loves retro style and I am happy with anything cozy. This place suited both of our tastes. We loved watching the sunrise over the lake in the morning and sipping coffee on the deck. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the stars in the evening with the woodstove burning. There were a number of water activities to choose from too. We took the canoe out a few times and enjoyed that.
Ultimately this is a great place to stay whether you are looking to stay in with a beautiful view or spend time out on the water. Would stay again!
