Paula, You came from Canada and decided how tropical plants should be arranged in my back yard without asking. You are not a Florida landscaper. Other hosts will not be so kind to you for ripping roots and changing the amount of sun their plant gets. You harmed many of my expensive exotic plants and then you reduced my rating because of it. You explicitly told me to NOT come over to handle the property and then docked me a Star for it. This shows that you do not exhibit the Spirit of VRBO. People reaching for reasons to complain and harming landscapes while drawing distinctions between the home offered and the property are sad and confused. I also wish you did not leave so much alcohol all over the home and cigarette butts in the yard.

Professionally speaking, Edward and Barbara Aster were rude and obnoxious from the start. They caused over 1k USD in damages and lied about many things including, but not limited to, how many people would be coming and going, inviting strangers from the neighborhood over to the property, the odd obsession with lawn service in a tropical climate during the daily rain storms, and making purchases on my entertainment accounts. The truth is that I add value in going above and beyond in that I "surprise" my guests with a plethora of water bottles, bagels, cream cheese, juices, sugars, fresh creamers, fruits, and vegetables. While this horrible guest may prefer a cold cookie cutter rental unit filled with cheap furniture and broken tile, my VRBO is filled with solid wood furniture sets throughout, fine antiques, stainless steel appliances, top of the line new laundry machines, and expensive 3/4' travertine stone work. Many people enjoy the beautiful tropical fruit trees and the bountiful harvest of tomatoes, peppers, lime, grapefruit, coconut, dragonfruit, sweetsoup, purple yam, turkish fig, and other exotics in the back yard and front yard. Only a tropical climate can produce some of these exclusive exotics fruits and vegetables and therefore many normal guests would appreciate what amenities and benefits their travels may provide. As for lawn maintenance, Edward and Barbara have outright lied about the frequency and omitted the attention to detail in pressure washing that they enjoyed. We were there on average every 10 days to mow over their 61 day stay (6 times). This property is in a HOA and they never posted a notice nor warning about any lawn neglect, to boot. Sadly, miserable elder travelers are stuck in their way and it is apparently MY fault they don't see the high baseboards and fancy tropical living as anything other than enjoyable. We will pray that Edward and Barbara can practice appreciation and gratefulness for the blessings that come their way. We will pray they see the good in the world and hesitate before they needlessly lie and attack in another VRBO review.
