Ovedale fit my needs perfectly! It was a pleasant 3 day stay within a beautifully landscaped property. So peaceful, safe and clean. There was a grocery store about 4 miles away. I wasn’t a fan of the compost toilet but I signed up knowing that. It was so much more fun than staying in a hotel.
I stayed for one night while at an equestrian event in Ocala. Affordable accommodations are increasingly rare since World Equestrian Center opened. This is a really charming place. Yes, it's small, but the owner has taken great care to make it cozy and welcoming. I am booking this week for another stay in March.
The property is beautiful and well maintained. Having a dedicated parking spot out front of the cabin enhanced the idea you had your own space. The cabinn was clean and very well outfitted (all you needed to have a comfortable stay) with a decor that was inviting and fit the area. Our focus was to be at WEC and being only minutes away was perfect! We look forward to booking this property again! Thank you to our fabulous hosts!

The cabin was cozy and very comfortable. The owner welcomed us not along after we arrived he was very helpful and welcoming. The property is very beautiful. Would definitely stay there again
This place was perfect for my 1 night stay while I watched friends show at the World Equestrian Center. It was clean & had everything I needed. I grew up on a gravel road so that did not bother me. The compost toilet was clean & had instructions. Also, this may not be a big deal but it made me happy that there were dairy free creamers for the coffee because I am lactose intolerant. If I come back to watch a horse show I will stay again! Also this

My sister and I were there to watch my granddaughter’s competition over the weekend. We were not a fan of the cassette toilet, nor the sleeping area in the loft reachable by a ladder. Would be perfect for younger people, not 70 year olds unless it was a single as there is a downstairs sleeping area for 1. The location was excellent and the property was very nice.
So I needed a quick overnight stay close to where I was boarding my new horse. Ovedale was good; when I drove over I was a little worried about the "dirt roads" and passed a few questionable homesteads (just a little downscale). But when I reached Mr. Kind's place I immediately recognized the quality and attention to detail. It was perfect for what I needed. If you are looking have a quick stay in Ocala near WEC this is a good place. (And I'm a VRBO Premier Host)!
My standard poodle and I spent one night here. The pond with a water feature and the grounds are beautifully landscaped.
I had my coffee in the morning enjoying the roosters crowing.
Perfect location if you have an event to attend at the World Equestrian Center. Cabin was clean and exactly as described. Host was quick to respond to texts/messages and was quick to accommodate us when we had an issue with the hot water.
What an awesome stay! Kids are 5 and 3 and they absolutely loved staying up in the lofted beds. The space is small but very functional and looks great. Beds are comfy. We enjoyed the fire pit and eating dinner on the patio. Host was very responsive and accommodating and gave some great recommendations. A really cool experience and we would definitely stay again. Thanks!!
I really enjoyed my stay I’m tall so at times I thought that I was going to bump my head but overall I would definitely stay again.

I never heard from the property regarding check-in until 2.5 hours after check in and I had to book another place last minute. I am also having a terrible time trying to get a refund.
The property itself was beautiful and peaceful exactly what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin was a bit smaller than the pics displayed but it was cutely set up. It could have used some more windows as it was very dark inside. It was basically a shed! The worst part was a compost toilet in a bathroom with no ventilation! By the second day of being there...the odors were unbearable....we found things to do to limit our time in the cabin....one would think that the owner would have it cleaned out everyday, he must know that this would happen...we felt like we were sleeping in a porto potty! We couldnt complete our stay and chose to just cut our trip short. The odors even permeated in our clothing! Normally, I don't write bad reviews but I was fooled by all the excellent reviews and just wanted to put out an honest review so people know exactly what their getting into.
This property was perfect for what I needed. I was there for 8 nights. It was close to the venue where I was attending a conference. The house was clean and comfortable. Kevin was there to greet me and answer any questions I had. Since I’m a “senior “ I chose to sleep on the daybed which was very comfortable. There are 3 beds in the loft but the ladder up and down was a bit formidable to me. All in all this was exactly what I expected.
Our family stayed at Ovedale for a weekend while we were in Ocala for a wedding. Kevin was such a great host. We were so comfortable and had everything we needed... and more. The beds were comfy, the property was beautiful. This tiny house was so cute and so homey. This was our first tiny house experience. We loved it!! Now we want to build our own tiny house!!
Thank you, Kevin!! You're a wonderful host!
The cabin was very cozy and comfortable for my partner and I. The only issue was the toilet which was a self-contained composting toilet. It would’ve been liked to know beforehand.
