10/10 We had the most wonderful stay at the house! Being among the well cared for animals and on the beautiful property made the best weekend getaway. The detail that went into the home is extraordinary and also felt very comfortable! Also right across from the beautiful Musconectcong River!
This place was like stepping back in time! Insane how beautiful and preserved it is. My wife and I booked it for our Anniversary and took a nearby speakeasy train dinner. Kim was very welcoming and replied promptly with any questions. Thank you for opening up this home to the public.
Everything was perfect. House is beautiful with its old world charm and you couldn't have asked for better hosts. They went out of their way to make it a memorable Valentine's Day/Anniversary for my wife and I. Definitely will be coming back

It was everything the listing said it was. We had such a great stay here. The house was amazing to just wander around and look at the history. The host were accessible for anything we needed, and very kind. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in the area

Thank you Nancy! It was our pleasure and hope to have you again.
Perfect place to unplug and have a quiet little getaway. The house itself is fascinating, well kept and decorated, and I enjoyed reading about its history. The grounds are beautiful, the animals are adorable, and the hosts were communicative. Plenty of thoughtful touches made me feel right at home.

Thank you David….it was a pleasure having you and so glad you enjoyed!
Our family had a wonderful stay. We loved getting to walk around the property and seeing the cows and sheep. The home was beautifully restored and had everything we could need. We walked down the street to a bridge and playground to keep the kids entertained and had a little fire in the living room. Thank you!

Thank you Danielle....it was a pleasure having your family. We are happy you enjoyed your stay!
This place has been so beautifully restored and maintained! It even had old functional fireplaces, which you can smell when you walk in (which I loved!). Everything was very clean and we had all the amenities that we could need. We loved seeing the animals and walking around the pasture. It was a peaceful place to relax and enjoy a little retreat with friends. Kim was quickly responsive to messages and we met her husband when he came to feed the sheep each day. Both were very friendly and gracious hosts! I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others!

A True Historic Treasure — Even Better Than the Photos!
This beautifully restored 1800s farmhouse was even better than described. The photos were great, but they don’t do it justice. It’s spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated—like staying in a historic home that belongs in a museum, but with all the modern comforts. The house was fully stocked with coffee, bottled water, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. It felt both luxurious and welcoming. The sheep on the property were such a fun surprise and added to the charm! We visited our daughter in Riegelsville, PA, and this location was perfect—peaceful and quiet, but just 20 minutes from shops and restaurants. We loved our dinner at the nearby Riegelsville Inn, recommended by the host.Originally it was just the two of us, but the home was so spacious we invited my father too—and still had plenty of room. It’s ideal for couples or families. The hosts were incredibly friendly, responsive, and helpful. Check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. Communication was top-notch.This house made our trip unforgettable. If it hadn’t been available, we likely would’ve stayed at a generic hotel and missed out on something special. We’ll absolutely be back, and we highly recommend staying here. The guest book is full of happy memories—we’re so glad to add ours!

About the host
Hosted by Kimberly Finegan
My husband and I have lived in Finesville since 1988, purchasing an unique log home built in 1793. It's been a labor of love restoring our home and having the ability to purchase another historic home just two doors away! Now to share the Apgar Stone House as a short term rental and also enjoy ourselves, has been a dream come true.
Why they chose this property
Located within a few miles of two wineries and beautiful old houses, we consider ourselves very lucky to call Finesville home.
What makes this property unique
Our guests enjoy immersing themselves into a "different time," yet with all the modern comforts and amenities. You will spend your time surrounded by period art, antiques, and textiles.
