Tucked into the slopes at the top of Silver Star Village. The Pinnacles Suites has unparalleled ski/bike access to your doorstep. Ski in/ out right on to the main mountain. (no hiking or riding lifts to get to the main mountain!)

This ski level chalet has three bedroom, two washroom with a private hot tub, perfect for two families. This unit has two queen bedrooms plus a third room with two sets of bunks. Bedding is supplied for the hide-a-bed.

The living room has a 42' plasma TV with smart TV.

Mnt biking and alpine go right from deck. (ski locker is also on the deck)

Nordic skiers can ski right from deck onto silver star or sovereign lake trails.

Perfect for a ski-in/ski-out holiday

The property was as described in the listing and had everything we needed for a ski-in/ski-out holiday. The property manager was very responsive when we had a minor issue that needed to be resolved. I would definitely stay here again.

Great week!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It took a bit of time to figure out how to return to the chalet via ski runs, but once we did, it was truly ski in and out. The accommodation was roomier than expected and we had everything we needed to cook during the week. Shannon was extremely responsive and took care of any issues that arose. We definitely recommend staying here.

Great place for family holiday, easy in and out access to the hill, little bit of a walk to get to the village, adequate parking, private hot tub, secure locker with lots of room for skis and boards. Clean apartment with adequate space for the amount of people it accomodates with plenty of hooks for all the jackets and equipment. We had a great time - lots of family memories made.

True ski-in/ski-out - great value - perfect host!

A great ski-in/ski-out option, where from the top of the little ridge behind the apt (about 3m uphill from the hot tub) you can ski directly down to the Village, Gondola, Comet, and/or Silverwoods or go the the other direction to Alpine Meadows. There can't be more than a dozen other properties on the mountain situated liked that, including some of the other ones at Pinnacles, where your unit is on the wrong side of the building and not a true ski-in/ski-out. Host was amazing and super communicative and helpful. Unit had everything we could want, including a legit sharp chef's knife (most knives at rentals are barely usable). Our homemade chili was all the better for it! Tons of helpful hooks for wet ski gear, and a boot heater! The unit is part of the original hotel at Silverstar from the 1970s(ish?), so this does mean that it also has original soundproofing, which is the one negative. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Otherwise, perfection for a ski vacation.

Good place, but various maintenance issues

Shannon is a good host, very responsive. But pinnacles is an older lodge without garage parking (not clear from VRBO listing) so car will be out in the cold for days, a problem for Subaru’s OEM batteries. The real issue though: Silverstar staff/property management was generally unhelpful & uncaring. On arrival, Shannon's unit had a plumbing issue and they switched us to a roadside unit with heavy footed people above and a neighbor who liked their TV extra loud. They said that Shannon’s slope side unit will be fixed by 2pm next day, so we cut our skiing short to move. They called ~3pm saying unit was fixed, but door code lock wouldn’t open. When notified, the receptionist just said “it should work, plumbers used it all day”. We again tried the door code several times later after we got back from tubing. And the lock box with physical key was jammed. It was only when I showed the staff in-person next day that she believed me. She had not even bothered to try when we first reported the problem but expected us to somehow move. Marty changed the locks 2 days later but took ski locker key with him, we were unable to snowshoe that day. Then the hot tub broke down, water wouldn’t heat. Silverstar hot tub person came and was quick to blame us for the filter blocking water intake but real issue was low water level (maintenance issue) and we couldn’t use the tub that day. The series of deferred maintenance issues and poor attitude of Silverstar staff left us with a bad taste, but YMMV.

Property was perfectly clean and in excellent repair. The kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The location is a short stroll from the village, close enough for apres-ski, but not so close that noise is a problem. This is true ski-in, ski-out. The run is a few feet from your door. Owner(s) are super-responsive and helpful.

This really is the best location on the hill. Easy access to the suite for quick breaks throughout the day. True ski in/ski out. The nostalgia of the place is also amazing -- it used to be the old day lodge. The only complaint would be the noise from the upstairs suites.

Perfect location for ski in and out!

This was a great condo for our 4 night stay to ski. It is in the perfect location to ski in and out. And walking distance to the village and the snow shoe trails, skating and tubing. The condo was set up brilliantly to hang up all your ski gear, which was greatly appreciated! Even the tile by the patio door was heated to help with drying the water from your boots. The kitchen had most of what we needed for cooking as we ate in due to Covid. Bring spices, including salt and pepper as that was lacking. We loved having our own hot tub! Our only complaint and why we gave this 4 stars rather than 5 is that there is a condo above you and the people were very loud during our stay. They walked like elephants, and every time they moved a chair or dropped something it was very loud. One night they had a party inside and on their deck, so we got very little sleep. They had a child that got up at 6am which you could hear them running around and crying. We let the Olivia know in the am, who is in charge of the building and there was no noise the next night. If you are wanting to party, rent a house, not a condo. Be advised that there are stairs and a couple of hallways from your vehicle to the condo, so carrying all of your gear in is a process. When we arrived to the condo it was warm and welcoming! Shannon had great communication and was quick to reply! It was also appreciated how clean the condo was!

Truly Ski in Ski out!

You can't get more ski in or ski out than this unit!! Literally ski right to your door and ski locker (which is literally right out your own private ground floor/slopeside entrance door into and out of the unit) and literally only a couple steps up to the flat area to put your skis on... and GO! Easy green run ski to get kids to lessons or just start your ski day and a groomed blue to get back to the cabin. Couldn't be more perfect for night skiing as well! The hill is right there!! Nice walk to bowling, tube town, skating or the village--we had no problem doing this with two young kids (9 and 6) or take the shuttle, which comes by every 30 min. Really great set up for hanging and organizing all your ski related items --lots of hooks, and all by heaters too! The snow play right outside the door was perfect for the kids while we went in the hot tub or stayed inside--we could see them just fine. The area in which this unit is located is quiet and the unit itself was also very quiet--really didn't hear anyone on either side or above us even though they were present. Owner super easy to communicate with and very pleasant. We are a family of 4 (two adults and 2 kids -age 9 and 6) and it was the perfect size for us. While the sleeping and dining areas would be spacious enough for 8, the living space would be tight. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed staying here, the kitchen was well-stocked, and everything is very comfortable. We really enjoyed the hot tub. The only issue for us was that the bunk beds are in an alcove that does not have a door. Instead it has curtains, which works well for privacy but doesn't block out the light very well. My little girl was able to go to sleep all right in this situation but my big kids have a harder time falling asleep. Still, I love that it had enough beds for our large family, and we really enjoyed it.

The village was a short walk from our appartment.The apartment was well stocked with lots of everything from towels to pots and pans.The only item I had to bring was a crock pot. We didnt bring our pets but it was so fun for us and our kids to play with some staying. The price is resonable and staff was great! Cant wait till next year!

Excellent family get together

We enjoyed the accommodations, it had everything we needed and more. Everyone had space to relax, the only complaint I heard from our children was the mattresses in the bunk room were pretty uncomfortable. Yet they still slept fairly well, must have been the mountain air, hot tub and family fun. Nice place, would recommend it to families, more than 6 might have gotten pretty crowded though.

We had a great stay. The unit was right on the hill. It was very clean and well stocked (kitchen and linens). We even found a high chair to use for our little one. Staff at the front desk were helpful. For a winter getaway it was great. Worked really well for us. Could easily sleep four adults and for children.

Excellent Location!!!

The unit was as described. It was clean, well maintained and well stocked with dishes and towels, and the location was fantastic. We shared this unit with two other couples. The only problem we had was with the double bed in the guest room. There were boards on top of the box spring that made noise every time one of us moved or turned over in the night which awakened me many times. The bed in the Master bedroom was nicer and quiet.

Great ski vacation!

This condo was perfect for our ski vacation with our friends. The condo was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. To be able to ski in and out was awesome, and very easily accessible. We came in every day for lunch and enjoyed the hottub every evening. It's located close to Silverstar village which made enjoying the pubs and shops easy. All five of us would reccommened this condo for any upcoming ski vacation. We will be heading back next year forsure.
