- A brand new “state of the art” Kitchen with mahogany cabinets, stunning Rainforest marble countertops, and all stainless appliances. When not enjoying one of the many excellent nearby restaurants, this fully equipped kitchen will serve you well when preparing your own gourmet Island meals.

The Pono Kai Resort enjoys a fantastic location along the eastern coastline of Kauai, known as the coconut coast, because of the large palm trees that line the coast. From this central location on the island, visitors can easily explore Princeville to the north, Poipu to the south, and other hikes and trails on the island in a timely fashion.

Visitors staying at the Pono Kai Resort will enjoy an assortment of onsite activities such as the onsite pool and hot tub, lighted tennis courts and croquet lawn, shuffleboard, putting green, work-out room, BBQ facilities, and activity desk for booking on-island adventures. Our favorite amenity is easy to access the beachfront paved walking/bike trail that fronts the property and coastline. Explore the scenic trail for miles in each direction.
To enjoy the beautiful sounds and feel the ocean breezes. THIS CONDO DOES HAVE CENTRAL AC. There is a portable unit for the small bedroom, and large ceiling fans and ocean breezes.

Our favorite part of each day was having our coffee on the lanai & watching the sun rise every morning. We could easily walk right over to the beach or down the path to many shops and restaurants.The condo was well equipped with everything we needed & very clean and comfortable. This place was very clean and spacious. Gorgeous Ocean views right from the living room and Master bedroom. So many extras provided for cooking (although we didn’t cook). Beach Chairs, sunscreen, bug spray, coffee. Etc. Would definitely recommend. 5 stars!!

This place has it all. Great amenities, clean, and in the perfect spot on the beach. Close to the shore, shops and restaurants. The bike path tops it off. I’d highly recommend this place.

The location of the condo was perfect, I loved having the ocean view from our patio and bedroom window. They also provided beach chairs and toys to use on the beach which was great. The kitchen also had everything we needed for cooking and making coffee. I would definitely stay here again.

We love our Kauai get away, as the winters are very long and cold in Steamboat - so we are now officially "Snowbirds". Kauai is our winter home; we first came in 2019 and loved it right away. We love outside activities and Kauai has tons to offer.

Why they chose this property

Why Kapaa Town? The first time we went to Kauai, we stayed in Kapaa, a little beach town on the East side of Kauai. It was perfect. It is centrally located, so you can head any direction, and get there quickly. It has lots of shopping, wonderful restaurants, and it is perfectly quaint.

What makes this property unique

Pono Kai has so much to offer. With a pool, hot tub, tennis courts, boche, croquet putting greens. We love the walking trail right out our Lanai door. And don't forget about the beach and ocean that you can hear and see from the Lanai. It doesn't get any better than that.
