Other Things to Note:
Please note that, like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C.

Please note that it frequently snows in Lake Tahoe in the winter months and as this home is well above lake level on a hill it gets A LOT of snow. If you are renting this home from November through March, please remember that there may be winter driving conditions, and a 4-wheel drive with all-terrain tires or snow chains for your 2-wheel drive tires might be necessary for safe travel. In the winter, we strongly suggest a truck or SUV with AWD or 4WD and all-terrain tires. Even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days, side roads can still be icy and have snow on them.

Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates.

Cold stay
As a previous 26yr resident, and knowing how cold winter nights can get in the Tahoe/Truckee area electric baseboard heating doesn’t cut it. They had a wood stove, but didn’t supply wood. Luckily I had a friend in the area that gave me wood to make the drafty older well maintained cabin cozy. There were a couple other items the cabin was missing, but all and all it was clean and had a good kitchen and the location to the Alpine and Squaw was convenient.
